i listen to their other stuff and i never thought that this was some christian stuff and if i would watch the interviews then i'd know that this is about god and it wouldn't be as good anymore.. :D

And that's fine. But, go listen to their other music or watch their interviews. They are an openly Christian band. If you want "you" to stand for something else, that is fine. But, what you want it to mean doesn't change what the author meant when they wrote it.

Nope, definitely talking about God there. But, I think that the band might say that the "you" can stand for whatever you want it to stand for. The point of this music is to bring hope.

CYE is obviously christian, but them not outright stating it in their lyrics by not replacing "you" with "God" or "Jesus" has more of a human universal feel to their music.
