I have never understood why the director of Lee's first stage play hadn't given him proper direction on how to play the butler before the curtain went up.

Late 1960s into the 70s I was around five when I first saw Joe on tv. I was allowed to choose my bedroom wallpaper so I had the one with Joe and all the cars and lorries on it. TBH i soon go bored of it. Joe's mum is very pretty no wonder she's pregnant again ;-)

I remember this show very fondly. My favourite episode was where Joe made 'Goulash' out of some concrete that builders had left lying around. A lovely, gentle show, the like of which we aren't likely to see again. Great to see this again. Thanks so much.
