I know this is an older craft room for you since you've moved since this was filmed, but I had a question for ya. Did you ever wish you had a closet in this room? I'm in the process of having our forever house being drawn up and I don't have a closet and the architect said I may think about having one. Just wanted to know if that was something you regretted not having. Thanks so much!
@dorrwells7 ай бұрын
Hi. That is a great question - I had 2 closets down the hall. 1 had my sewing machine and sewing supplies in it and the other had my 'overflow of things' + I had boxes, and packaging supplies in the attic. haha. I am designing a new craft room and it has a large closet. I think it's like 13x13. It will have my sewing machine and overflow. But literally around the corner is our basement storage where I will put all of my boxes and things I use rarely but want to keep. If I didn't have the basement I would have made a bigger closet. So...YES, add a closet if you can - keep your most used and loves stuff in your room. And store the things you own but use rarely. Have fun!
@elizabethp20407 ай бұрын
@@dorrwells my room will be long and narrow 11x22 so I wasn't sure how to add a closet to that size. We will also have a basement so I figured anything not used on a regular basis could also be stored there.

Thank you for the information. As I was watching your video, I started writing down your advices down and next is laying down my financial freedom plan down. I have been feeling like I don’t have any extra cash at all to put aside, but you inspired me to dig deeper into my pockets. My plan tonight is to calculate my income vs actual monthly debt/expenses plus to figure out my wants vs needs. Thank you so much for inspiring me!

You got this! It isn't easy but oh so worth it!
@danikeebler16628 ай бұрын
She is absolutely correct. If you break down a budget, there is extra money to utilize ...the issue is how deep are you willing to cut???? It is time to revisit needs vs wants. I got out of debt in two years. I was down to bear bones spending and there was very little stealing Peter to pay Paul. There were no extras to take away from the budget. I used to lay away at night and wonder how I was was going to be debt free in my 50s. Now I am debt free and with my aggressive budget, I am going to save. It is possible it is hitting bottom hard enough to wake you up.

@@Doors067 Did you happen to watch the video at all? Obviously not. She continuously said "our" debt. She and her husband were a team to pay off THEIR debt. That's a true partnership. I don't have a partner and I'm doing the same thing she is. It's not rocket science, a gimmick, or "make an extra 50K per year". You make a plan strategically, make and follow a strict budget, make sacrifices, do what you need to do, and you can become debt free.

I just came across your channel, and i love it. I've watched about 4 videos already during my lunch. When my kids graduated high school and started working, I taught them also gow to budget. Example, car payment is 400 a month. Every week take 50 from that paycheck and put it aside for the payment. Same with all there other bills. They are so grateful that i taught them to do this. My daughter does this with her husband as well. I didnt understand the reasoning at the beginning but now he's on board with it. By the way new subscriber now!!

Well, we have one house and I use cash envelopes and have a budget along with a savings goal every month. You, most likely, do not not have 500K in debt. Budgets work for everyone no matter your income or debt. You need to binge on Dave Ramsey. Learn…don’t whine. (P.S. I used to be you!)
