Couple of key ways, not all but some in how the Eastern Orthodox interpret Revelation is partial preterism of the destruction of the temple being destroyed in 70Ad. But it also foreshadows of whats to come in the end times. Like the abomination of desolation in maccabees, daniel, and revelation. Also when John looks into heaven he sees liturgical worship, the way the Orthodox worship on Sundays with the Divine Liturgy. Nice video 👍

Thanks Sam. Fabulous balanced view of Revelation. As someone who volunteers with Southern Cross Kids camps, I see these ‘ beasts’ in the family violence, mental illness and drug abuse that oppress the families of the children who attend camp.

We lift up al the pastors and Christian missionaries and leaders who minister and work amongst the indigenous community in Australia, Malaysia and in other countries. How beautiful are the feet of these people and bless their hearts as they continue the journey reaching out to the indigenous community with the message of the gospel. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases…and His mercy never come to an end for they are new every morning and great is thy faithfulness O’Lord” Heavenly Father, history may be a painful chapter for many but may the wisdom of your Word, your amazing grace, love and joy, help the indigenous community to find peace, healing and strength in the shadow of your wings. And unveil a way for them ( and us) to find in Christ the ultimate reconciliation. In Jesus name 🙏🏽

It's interesting how money was widely traded and money was earned during biblical times but it wasn't accepted as a systematic (required) tithe deliverable. Today's version of tithing carries no biblical precedent so it can't be seen as an act of biblical obedience, but there's nothing wrong with practicing tithing, money or otherwise, to a church or otherwise, per our discretion.

I've met many pastors living in nice homes and driving nice cars from all these tithes.

This is not biblical and a false message 28:06. You are commanded to sacrifice yourself daily. You therefore are the sacrifice. Luke 9:23-24 sacrifice and deny yourself daily. Take up your cross and follow Christ. matt 10:38 he who does not take up his cross is not worthy of Him. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice on the cross, we must also sacrifice ourselves to this world by taking up our cross. No where in the bible does is mention this new age liminal space social justice warrior internet garbage. Job and joseph are good examples to show us how they sacrificed themselves and everything familiar to them in the world and placed their trust in God. Each apostle and every martyr that died from a torturous death did the same as we the true believers must too if confronted with the same circumstances. Because this world is not our home and the pain and suffering we feel here on earth is just a temporary inconvenience till we see God in heaven face to face where we will experience true delight forever. You are the sacrifice. Jesus was simply the first example to show us the way. While we may try and fail with our weakness like Peter denying Christ , it does not change the fact that God wants us to sacrifice ourselves daily and serve Him. Matt6:24
@CityLifeChurch2 ай бұрын
Hi EdBarton31 thank you for your comment. You are right we are called to live a sacrificial life, to love as Jesus loved. And also the apostles exemplified sacrificial love as they followed in the steps of Christ. In her message Marg recognizes this (min 30) "We are called to live a life of sacrifice." So what she refers to is that Jesus' sacrifice has atoned for all our sins. As the book of Hebrews 7:27 puts it: "Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifice day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself." So you are right we are called to live a life of sacrifice, but not to atone for our sins, Jesus made us clean, but because he loved us first, and that's why we can live and love as He did. If you would like to discuss this further, please email me at [email protected]. Thank you,

Its amazing how the narrative has changed over time. At one time it was believe or die. Then you will burn for eternity. Now its a relationship.
@CityLifeChurch2 ай бұрын
We know that believing in Jesus is so much more than just ticking the box of belief and we are saved. But it’s an intentional relationship with him that helps us get closer and know him more so we can be more like him.
@borisbash2 ай бұрын
@CityLifeChurch then you need more than the bible because it doesn't meet the cut. The bible is a book of hate, and the jesus you teach is love. It's not compatible.
@sarahc76422 ай бұрын
Well, the Kingdom of heaven isn't a place. It's a state of being when we're in communion with God. And we can't be in communion with God if we don't love people the way He does. Because that's not who He is. 😊
