I noticed a stunt in growth when my iron levels were very low, I would add iron chelate. Could be something like this or similar deficiency if you do some searches for indicators you might be able to narrow it down. iron seemed to be common in my area, however once I added the iron everything exploded in growth including massive algae blooms so heads up!

I expected the gold & fancy koi would eat some but maybe they just like "duckweed". (Not sure, I don't have fancy gold & high end koi. Don't mind the nonsense) However on a different note, if I have a private pond and "fish funds"? -I would install underwater lights in spot in the middle outward not just the side wall/rock if I plant underwater plants, if not then not. -Just conversing no real legit idea.

This door opens to the outdoors? Like free-ranging? So the safety of your chickens is dependent on an animal not eating through a tiny piece of string? This vid is 2 yrs old. Has nothing chewed through it, or it frayed and snapped in 2 yrs? I'd be paranoid every night.

That is a wire cable not a string. Yeah not the typical backyard chicken spot. I've never had a break in with it but I also use solar night guard flashers hanging on a tree nearby. The bungee was frayed from weather, the bungee was 2 yrs old when it was filmed at the end. Yes they free range next to a forest line on the opposite side of my yard. I've let the survivors breed and pass on the traits for years. They replenish their numbers each year and regain their survival skills. neighborhood dogs running wild are the biggest nuisance, haven't had the heart to blow all their brains out yet but its getting close.
@benrocklyfe87894 жыл бұрын
Nah yotes stick to the tree line pretty good I've never had a yotie prob at night. Mama yotie will snake one near the forest treeline every so often mid mornish. Coons breaking in from up top and any weak points at night and peoples dogs loose are the biggest nuisances in my area. I have game cams yoties and bobcat attacks are the most rare but do occur but mostly when some get the idea of roosting out in a tree doing something away from the group. Hawks coons big snakes and peoples dogs are the main preds.

I know where this is. This lake means everything to me. This is upper hidden lake, near wanship utah. My great grandmother built a cabin just down the hill from this beautiful lake where I caught my first fish. Seeing this video made me cry. Thank you for sharing. With it being a private gated community, how did you get in if you don't know where it is? I've searched and searched for a VRBO listing or something so I can visit my favorite place on earth. We had to sell my great grandmothers cabin and I miss it all of the time.
@benrocklyfe87895 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I find it amazing that you stumbled upon this video. Yes you do know this amazing place=). I too grew up on this lake as well 25 years ago, surely we've rubbed shoulders at some point=) my brother and I would raft out to the island to catch salamanders while our dad fished. The moose would come take a drink almost everyday. Good memories, the best memories. My dad also grew up here when he was a kid. Our great grandparents owned the land down at the bottom near the Weber river. They've all passed and sold their land, fortunately my brother bought and kept a small 1 acre lot/land at the bottom so we'd always have access. I live in Oklahoma, I made this video when I visited last year and took my boy. My dogs first time out of the southern country, they were surely impressed. I was shocked to see my relatives old land cleared and monster cabins built. Quite a few huge cabins and big money has moved in over the years. Cant wait to go back and fish the Weber next year. My brother and I want to build a cabin there one day.

Did the lettuce improve the quality of the water?
@benrocklyfe87896 жыл бұрын
Actually yes, it seems each year the more plants the better ecosystem and water condition. This pond has too many large fish and lots of waste. The lettuce was a big help. Each lettuce hangs about a foot long root cluster. I used some floating hula hoop type pipe to contain them in circles this year I'll do a video on it soon!
