His love for his mom captivated me to watch this guy.. we'll never know what hes gonna do on finals against celtics. But this guy and gafford and the other center white guy are the bridge thats why mavs has reached the finals.. his grief will give him strength to play defense against big men of celtics.. defense is vital to win the championship..

Happy for Lively! It's crazy that a player his height possesses the athleticism and mobility he has. He truly is a great steal and draft pickup. I'm excited to see how he grows as a Mav! Fellas, we got ourselves a true big man! :)

He has been instrumental this season. Sky is the limit for him, he's still just a kid, it's astonishing that a rookie has that kind of an impact on a legit contender. I wish him only the best, not only cause I'm a Mav, but also because it's what he deserves after all he went through.

When a rookie has an 11 minute highlight reel, you know he's good.

And at least a 6-7 min highlight reel from the postseason alone too. One of the greatest rookies in postseason history (judging by +/-) as he is right behind Manu Ginobili

I was thinking that too. It was very unfortunate that she passed away very early into his career but she thankfully did get to see her boy become a star that every fan in the stadium yelled and cheered for. That's honestly the most you can ask for and she got to see it happen.

Dude just catches anything around the basket & turns it into a dunk. Lobs, rebounds, deflections, whatever. If it gets to the paint on the offensive end, he's claiming it.
@maferreira19845 ай бұрын
Guy is 7'1" with 7'7" wingspan, good vertical, very high IQ, ahtletic af and amazing timing. If he adds a tad bit of muscle he'll be really unstoppable.

An old school big man type.. very efficient inside the paint.. knows how to operate underneath the basket.. very good at positioning.. i love how he plays the game.. this kid is very good for me
@ElectricToucan7 ай бұрын
Call me old school but I think teams and GMs have really dismissed the impact that an old school defensive big could have on a roster as opposed to these wacky hybrid offensive freaks at the 5 position in this guard-and shooting-inflated era of basketball. People forget that the priority for any true big is to protect the rim, grab boards, and be the last line of defense when no one else is able to play as physical. We are seeing that now with Lively II. AND he just broke a NBA HISTORIC RECORD for highest +/- in a playoff series by a rookie at +71 vs OKC. And now he's at +87 in TOTAL in the postseason and +19 in his first game against one of the most historically greatest defenses against Minnesota in Game 1. AND HE'S JUST A ROOKIE AT 20 YEARS OLD! He can't even drink alcohol 😂 In other words, no OTHER word describes him better than...IMPACT
