Love this. My family lived in the house in background of fireman spraying foam on the Hastings (1:18). My Dad was a Sqn Ldr on Hercules (48 Squadron I think), maybe flying that one (but maybe not). Anyone remember pairs of Lightnings going vertical in tandem on a Sunday afternoon! Memory of that sound still raises hairs on the back of my neck.

This is more likely 1971. The county class destroyer is a batch two with a 965 double bedstead this rules out Devonshire, Hampshire, Kent and London which had single bedstead aerials. in1971 Glamorgan accompanied Eagle out to the far east to participate in the winding up of the British Eastern Fleet. By this time her foremast had been modified from its original appearance, which, like Fife resembled the batch one counties. it could still be Fife, Antrim or, Norfolk, but I think it is my old ship, the Glamorgan.
