My display is a glass cabinet. Im planning on using the decal on one side and not use it on the other side. That way i can choose to display it on ecto1 or ecto1A mode just by changing the orientation. 😂

To call them decals if they are indeed stickers is somewhat dishonest, because there IS a difference.

Ugh it sucks now because its looking like we wont get that tully figure because the funding on this isn't moving in time for the 2 week time line.... i know it is expensive but for what we are getting its really worth the price

This is the first Ghostbusters haslab I wasn't immediately all in on and have since decided not to get. I don't like that part of the selling point is interchangeability then they limit that interchangeability with limited decals. the silver paint as opposed to an actual chrome just makes this look like a cheap toy as well. it seems the are almost forcing anyone who wants both versions to buy 2 cars. Also they are definitely maxing out the FOMO with the Tully figure which kind of irritates me. another thing holding me back is the fact that we haven't gotten a hard ship date yet on 2 in the box. I don't particularly collect figures and would have to start if I got this. I think at this price point, for me, I would rather have the Hot Wheels 1/18 cars. I understand if you already collect the figures that this could be a great display piece and I hope those that get it really enjoy it

I’d have loved a RC trap haslab , I’ve ordered this ecto though and still waiting on my two in a box too

This funding has already proved underwhelming for fans as last year's Two in the Box was funded in 24hrs. Back when I was at the June celebrations in NYC, the rumors were already pretty much solid about this Haslab, which proves to be a hard sell even for diehard fans such as myself. They should also give more frequent updates about their previous engagement because the silence cannot be helping much for this campaign.

As many have helpfully pointed out in the comments, Habro have since come out and confirmed that the decals will be reusable, at least for a few changes between both Ecto versions. Which is very good news 😊 🚫👻

⁠he did say, it’s decals not stickers and it’s removable. Not sure what it means either…but imagine it’s one of those things printed plastics sheets that we kids in the 80’s -90’s use to get that would stick on glass or other plastic surface area like a glossy scenery sheet. I remembered those were removable ..maybe it’s those kind of decals that’s based on friction..sorta like plastic contacts, or a plastic food wrap sticking on a porcelain bowl type of friction. If that’s the case then definitely all you need is the deluxe set and just convert as you see fit.

I am interested to know the point where you said "it may be not the perfect one". Curious to know what they could have done better at this price point?

I bought 2 of them so I can have 1 of each that's the easiest way to have both without switching out the decals i know that's costly and most can't buy 2 of them

Doesn’t matter if it was die-cast; die-cast metal isn’t magnetic.

They may use vinyl stickers which can be peeled on and off many times, worst case scenario they are normal stickers and then Etsy people will sell their own sheets for people to buy and rebrand as many times as they want. Either way I'm passing on this because the scale is too big for my taste, and also pricey.

Hmm. The base model should be cheaper since deluxe is Only 75 bucks more for All that. Smart way of doing it though To squeezed out a little more money....easier for people. But easy for me to say no to ghostbusters 2. Not my favorite

The Haslab guys have confirmed they’re decals not stickers and can be removed to flip between Ecto 1 and the Ecto 1A. But they will only be able to be changed a few times before they start to deteriorate

To me this feels too little too late, it’s been 3-4 years since the last plasma series figure products, personally I’ve settled with the LEGO Ecto-1 for my figures, it retails for £180 and is roughly 1/12 scale, this new haslab feels too much than what I’m willing to pay, i would’ve considered if it were around £200-£250

Thanks to an eagle-eyed viewer for pointing out that this has already had its price increased to $179.99 on NECA’s website (just hours after it being listed)…very odd! Not as good value now, but still cool

On the Neca website it is listed at $179.99. So, if you subtract their standard $37.99 for an ultimate figure, that means this is a $142 for an under-sized plastic backdrop. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks nice, but that is a lot of money for a backdrop. I would like to see a video showing how the lights look in "motion". It had better wow me if they want that kind of money for it. (Now, maybe if it came with a couple of those demon whores from the balcony.....)
