I LOVE this and it reminds me of how many wonderful songs are inspired by sailing.. Maureen McGovern singing Peter Allen's I Could Have Been A Sailor, Norm Lewis singing William Finn's I'd Rather Be Sailing, Marianne Challis singing Alan Menken's Sailin'On. All of them inspired and beautiful

There’s an intimacy to this song accompanied almost exclusively by the guitar that is hard to capture with Scot’s typical piano accompaniment. The delicate balance with the piano at the end was perfect. An absolutely magical moment.

Such a different song than the versions for the singers who show off their voices. The simplicity and sincerity of Scott’s voice is all this song really needs.

This song has been done by a growing number of really good vocalists, but this one is defintely in my Top Two interpretations, next to Hadley Fraser. Acting is on point and the vocals are also very strong. Would be nice to have a studio-quality recoding of this tho - still, well done.

Thank you Scott Alan for this beautiful piece! I suffered from depression for more than half my life. I was on antidepressants for 30 of those 35 years. I was in some form of counselling for 25 of those years. I hung in. It was difficult. I felt I was hopeless...that this wasn't life. I am endured a lot and it is those things that made me strong. Hang in there--YOU are worth it. It may not seem like it now but YOU ARE! Life isn't what I imagined it would be; but, I am still living and am grateful to be doing that--LIVING! Don't lose HOPE...Hold On Pain Ends <3
