Instead of using a paintbrush, you can use a silicone clay sculpting brush. Because it's silicone, it's much easier to clean.

What is that little hand dryer thing you are using?
@ResinForge6 күн бұрын
It’s a portable waist clip fan, it isn’t the greatest at drying the prints but it speeds up the process a TINY bit. 😊 I don’t have it listed in my products because I don’t think it’s worth it for the price, I already had it for working outside on hot days.
@ResinForge6 күн бұрын
A air compressor or empty airbrush works much better.
@alexander_sinclair6 күн бұрын
What are you spraying on them before you use that little hand dryer thing?
@ResinForge6 күн бұрын
@@alexander_sinclair Clean Isopropyl Alcohol, I usually spray off the prints or soak them in clean alcohol after they come out of the Wash & Cure. Some people do it the other way around but it’s personal preference

Hello and Thanks for watching, I truly appreciate it! This was my first time trying to print and paint a statue in FDM. I had a X-Axis error on my A1 Combo so there are some layer issues (The problem has now been fixed) but I finished the print anyways and painted it and I was pretty happy with the result Two things I learned 1. PLA SUCKS to paint (Especially with my layer issues) 2. Print statue bases in FDM instead of resin This Beautiful 1/6 Scale Stormtrooper model is from @3dwickedart @sw3dpatreon

How did you achieve that gradient? Looks nice
@ResinForgeАй бұрын
Thank you! I used a filament from OVV3D called Rainbow Macaroon. Printing multiple items at once increases the gradient on each individual one in the end (Hope I explained that correctly haha)

I’d like to add that getting an air quality monitor for where the resin printing is going on. I’ve also used the resin that is for printing as the glue, using an UV light pen and with the resin on a hobby paint brush, spread that on where you want to glue it. Then use the UV light to cure it

Wich Print Setting you use for the anycubic Standard resin?
@ResinForge2 ай бұрын
@@ioannis7789 Try starting with 2.6-2.8 Exp time for calibrations on the standard resin. I print really large so my other settings are a bit cranked up vs a normal profile. If you are having adhesion issues try raising your bottom exposure settings by 10 sec increments. A lot of the settings are dependent on environment/printer/etc…
@SoloLap2 ай бұрын
Great tip but how do you totally drain the vat on a Saturn 4 Ultra? I'm going to use some cheap translucent resin while I test the printer, but then want to switch to medi clear bio resin and I'm wondering how best to get the old resin out.
@ResinForge2 ай бұрын
@@SoloLap Completely remove the Vat and poor the leftover resin through a filtered funnel back into the resin bottle, then wipe out the rest with a lint free micro fiber cloth… Once you get most of it out spray a bit of IPA inside the Fep and let it sit for a minute. Then take the cloth and gently wipe out the rest. I like to cut corners of the cloth so you don’t waste the entire thing. Make sure there is no debris and that it is completely dry before adding new resin. If you are testing a resin and switching to a different one they might have different calibration settings. You will probably have to run calibrations again on the clear bio resin cause the profiles might not match. Just something to keep in mind. Hope this helped!
