I feel immense loneliness with this song. In my personal life, I only have 3 friends, and I can barley see them.

I put this Erik Satie piece off you tube, on here because its a favourite of mine. It is dedicated to a special group of ( only) friends I have and never see.. To Estas Tonne, Elena , Felix, Dimitri ,Istvan, yonatan,, alison, celine, and of course the wonderfully gifted painter Eva Szitar. To my sister Lana and her husband Terry who live abroad and to Daniella, a kind hearted soul. To Julia and Joseph who travel around more than an airliner ha! May the peace this music instills into your hearts make your life content.

Christopher Guest time-traveling? Anyway. I don't play but my kiddo does and she says these pieces sound simple, but can be hard to play, as in some of them at least the two hands are playing in different time signatures?

I heard it once when I was young, and then I searched for it a lot and did not find it because I did not know the name of the musician or the name of the musician. Today I am very happy because I found it by chance. The beginning is considered divine

Erik Satie's music is beautiful. But this movie is so choked full of blaring commercials that you just can't enjoy it. Find rest and inspiration someplace esle ...

for context: I have borderline personality disorder, and many other comments I have read, come here with there sorrows, there worries, there odd moments of silence and even some people feel it is exhausting to listen to going through as if it is taking them on a rollercoaster of emotions and I think he may have had some mental disorder and this was his solemn this was his inner peace this is what stopped his brain from everything, I truly believe this is why he created his music and I can relate its so calming yet so intuitively random and the rhythm slows down and speeds up which could mean he feels as if his life is passing by him and he is a bystander but what do I know I only study phycology, music theory, philosophy and lots more also writing a book but its relatively unrelated to this analysis. anyways if you have a thought about it let me know!

I love this piano piece, it is so haunting when I hear this I think of the eta being late 1920’s early 1930’s.

If anyone sees this comment, I just wanted to share my first piano song. It's on youtube and called "Two Moons Apart." Beautiful music like this inspired me to try and play the piano. Well, I started playing and composing songs seems fun so far. I hope my first song is at least a little bit good? Thank you very much if you listen to my song!! :)

Each time I check, the comment section underneath Satie’s pieces is classy. One of the few safespace on the internet to scroll through lovely human beings referring to the soul speaking music of the french maestro… Thank you

@samuelcarter2624; you won't. These tunes are taken straight from the (collective) human subconsciousness, and have been fed back into it. Therefore, they'll always ring _that_ bel they ring as you were, as you always have been. With everybody. Tho I like the Reinbert De Leeuw versions better;-) Edited to get the name right

Mate if you had any respect for this music, you wouldnt put an in the middle of a bar with the volume turned up %300. Ruining the collective enjoyment of thousands just to make some extra cash. You should honestly be ashamed of yourself.
