When I did my time studying Architectural Technology at NAIT in Edmonton, we had a class where we had to present a unique project and why it was unique. One of the members in my four-member group suggested we do this part of the building. We drove down to Calgary and met the original principal architect who took us on a fulsome tour of the space, including some behind-the-scenes access with the building staff. I believe the architect was JH Cook, and I believe this was also the firm that designed the (then) Nova Building not too far away. I'm sure he has since passed, as he was quite elderly at the time, but what an incredible space. Although it appears in the video that there's been some changes and additions to it, I'm glad it's being maintained as it was originally intended. All I know is that it's pretty rare to have a little peaceful oasis in the middle of the concrete and glass jungle that makes up a city's downtown core. Thanks for posting this video.
