@LottoWinner999 You're can't possibly be as stupid as you appear. You must be trolling. That's the only explanation. Well, kudos. You had me there. For a while, I actually believed you were as stupid as you appear. I now realise you're just a very good actor.

@LottoWinner999 I'll pass over the fact that your quote is unsourced and false. I'll pass over the fact that you're not Northern Irish and therefore have no right to comment on events there. I'll pass over the implicit call you make for ethno-religious genocide against non-Catholics. I'll even pass over the fact that despite being a foreigner you clearly some entitlement to dictate to the people of Northern Ireland. However I won't pass over citing the murderer and war criminal Tony Blair.

@LottoWinner999 the irish fought the british in ireland for a long time and won 2/3 of our country back, but alot of people were killed in the process. from the end of the 1960's to the 1990's the P.I.R.A fought a war against the british forces so that ireland would become an independent sovereign state and to provide equality for all, the loyalist population began to attack irish catholics for fear of a united ireland and resulted in "the troubles". A united ireland will be won with politics

@steam2183 when did gerry adam's bomb a rememberance parade? As far as i am concerned belfast is an irish city. It is a city in the island of ireland. The british are anti- irish catholic and have been for hundreds of years. The british government is ultimately responsible for the situation in present day ireland as they failed to provide democracy to all of its inhabitants post to the segregation of this land. The consistently ignored the requests of irish catholics in the north of ireland

@staines18 'wow it really is good to see the irish supporting the british army'. No, these are british people (northern irish) supporting the british army. Or, to put it another way, Northern Irish people supporting a Northern Irish regiment. They have nothing to do with the country of Ireland.

@ro18br it's a term of endearment for those of us in the military, or at least in the Marine Corps. Why you ask, well ro18br it's what any green blooded member of the infantry strives to do in battle especially this battle, kill the enemy. When spouted by a member of the anti military crowd it's quite disrespectful, I am the former not the latter. It's been a pleasure schooling you in the in and outs of military greetings, maybe next time you can put two and two together dumbass

If I am not mistaken the dogs leading the parade are the much honoured Brian Boru VIII and Conmael, the Rigimental Mascots. Having put that right, I love the comment at about 1.17 where someone in the crown shouts "Cavalry"! They are rather a larger breed of dog than most!

mate, as far as i'm concerned britain can have ulster for the next 50yrs nevermind 10. 2/3 of the N.I. is employed by the public sector (shocking stat!). Do u really think the Taoiseach wants to pay for all you lazy northerners?? Once u sort your economy out and get some private enterprise going, then we'll talk about a united ireland! lol

Taxes don't discriminate, it doesn't matter if you're catholic or protestant, you're money will still be wasted for many years to come on this fruitless millitary campaign. Now if you think this is a cost worth paying, then obviously your unionism has gone to your head... Now can you understand why there was a demonstration against this triumphalist parade?? I don't identify with Sinn Fein or any of those cringeworthy republican groups, but ppl have the right to protest against this war

Nice parade, and I have a lot of respect for the troops themselves as they do have a very unrewarding job. However listening to the reception the crowd gave them, you would've thought they were returning home victorious from WW2. The fact is however over 150 000 CIVILLIANS HAVE DIED in Iraq alone, in a war which was initiated primarily for FINANCIAL reasons, and despite what John McCain and other neocon idiots might have you believe victory will NEVER be achieved in the middle east.

I'll bet his birth certificate says NORTHERN IRELAND at the top of it just the same as mine as I was aslo born in BELFAST. WE all had a great day, don't know about the shinners

When British Troops arrived in Iraq the first thing they did was dig up mass graves. The deaths you refer to are part of that war between sheites and sunnees. Very few deaths were casued by the British Army. I believe in a United Ireland but you are a hindrance. How will the actions of Sinn Fein help Protestants to feel comfortable in a United Ireland. Start respecting their beliefs.

I'm so glade we all stood together in Belfast on 2nd November 2008 and showed our boys a true welcome home. Since they put there lives on the line for us all so we can live our lives with all the privileges we take for granted every day. And now the people in Iraq and Afghanistan can start to have the same privileges as us all..... Being able to Protest and Speck out loud of what they think and fell of the Government.

I am glad the British Troops got this welcome home. I was raised in Scotland very much believing in a United Ireland, I was disgusted with the antics of Sinn Fein. What they were doing had nothing to do with Irish Politics it was their Marxist anti-British agenda coming to the fore.Had I been in Belfast I would have been standing with you, a catholic among the Protestant people cheering just as loud as anyone.
