A wonderful historical document from a pivotal point in time. No doubt it must have been a very memorable trip for these schoolboys. I am patriotic to Britain, though cannot help betrayed by Churchill's legacy. Hitler did not want war with Britain but WC made it his business for war, putting the patriotism aside for a moment. We were left with a 47 year Cold War against Hitler's original foes, the whole of eastern Europe lost it's democracy inc Poland we went to save & an eye-watering debt to the USA till 86 while the UK public were left in a post-empire & austerity. Post-war generation picking up the pieces where nationalism is out, liberalism in it's place we are the nation that has been pasturalised, not Germany.
