One issue with discbound that many people don't mention is that when you fold the notebook back on itself, the pages on the other side can often start falling off the discs. I love discbound for all the reasons you mentioned, but that is one annoyance for me. Another thing to mention is that aluminum discs work far better than plastic ones for page turning. They create a smoother surface for the pages to glide over. I noticed that you kept referring to "ring size," but I'm sure you meant "disc size." 😉

I LOVE this system. It's absolutely perfect and exactly what I would have made for myself.

It’s all so beautiful. The video is so helpful. I didn’t realize the plastic piece inside the pen loop needed to come out. 😂 I may need to try the sewn planners next year, but I’m really excited for July to come, so I can try my discbound.

It does work a little better without the plastic packaging piece, I know from experience. The waiting is the hardest, but excited to hear what you think of the discbound planner.

3:17 wow. You just don't know that there are ring planners that could be flipped on themselves-filofax clip books, for instance

I love being able to fold it back on itself, but the clatter of the discs etc on the desk is really annoying to me, so am sticking with my rings. Am happy to use spiral-bound notebooks but it just doesn't feel right for my planner. Sorry! Each to their own.

Hi I switched to discbound and I use the arc Punch and discs from Amazon to make my planner but the paper wasn't tern easy.. is it because the punch or because Of the discs

Video notes: 1. Keep it out and keep it open (same place each time). 2. Create triggers or set alarms as reminders (first thing in morning + after lunch + right before end of workday). 3. Start in your planner, but you don't have to stay (unless that's the style of planner user you are). 4. What do you want out of your planner? (Customize it to meet YOUR planner needs. Focus on function and outcome more than aesthetic.) --- These tips are super wise in my opinion! Took me so long to get into a daily planner habit and all four tips helped me a lot! I so agree on function over looks - and also having the aesthetic and size fit well enough that they didn't distract me with say colors or style or weight I hate has helped. It helped to be willing to really experiment. My current favorite is a DIY discbound I made and keep tweaking!

I can’t wait to see the new products during the April launch. I plan for the month in a similar way except for I use the lines next to the monthly calendar to write my to dos for the month. Unfortunately, I don’t have space in my current planner for goals and action steps hence my interest in your planner for 2023. I also add recurring tasks to my daily pages such as submit timesheet every Friday, update my budget workbook on our paydays, meal plan on Saturdays, ect.

Thanks so much! I've been so into my day planner hobby plus also a workbook idea strongly coming through me for awhile...then lately finding content on how to actually make and sell those things to go along with the coaching biz I'd already been taking marketing classes for and planning my relaunch. It's a lot of pieces and decisions but a path to making it an actual expressed business is coming clearer. I love finding your channel and this video. Do you offer consulting on this? Have you found Etsy to be good or do you just focus on your website? P.S. Your face has such a sweet, open quality and your energy gentle...you seem like a genuinely nice person!

Thank you! Glad to have found your channel. And your design taste is more similar to mine than many planners are. Recently switched to discbound. Excited!! I can kind of relate to how you put it being a pendulum between perfect and procrastinate.
