Hey, really nice explanation! I was wondering if you have been able to schedule out any of that information? Would be great to put on the splash pade of the project!
@revitdviser47693 ай бұрын
Hey. Thank you for the feedback and great question! I managed to also extract coordinates of all linked models, but when it comes to scheduling then no, haven’t tried that. When it comes to splash screen, then I saw some people add a floor plan (to splash screen) with base points shown and use Spot Coordinate / Spot Elevation tools from the Annotate tab to show coordinates data.
@minivella3 ай бұрын
@@revitdviser4769 Ahh nice, that would be handy when trying to get models aligned and having issues. Would be interested to see if you could manage it. I tried that that but I want to have it in my template on my splash screen and it automatically update once the project has been set up. Using the annotate method means that once the project has been set up that view would need adjusting to put the basepoint back in view.
@revitdviser47693 ай бұрын
@minivella I see what you mean now. Yes, that’s probably the most efficient way. I don’t use schedules that much, but if there is an option to use shared parameters, then what you described can be done…I think. Let’s say there is a python script that takes base points data (similar to what I show in my video) and every time your splash screen view gets activated, the base points data can be fed to shared parameters using event triggers. Again, havent’t tried it, but I think it’s possible.

@@revitdviser4769 Is there any chance of seeing an update showing the steps required to achieve extracting the coordinates of the the linked models?
@revitdviser4769Ай бұрын
@MKdrafter Yes. I’m waiting for pyrevit 5 to be released. Once it’s been released, I’ll start working on the new content.

I’ve had pyrevit on my machines for years, but only because I had the desire to create my own Toolbar. Now that I have some more time and interest, I’m revisiting the topic. Pyrevit actually has some amazing features. I always just kind of ignored this, as I thought it was a „not-so-useful“ demo project that ships with pyrevit. Happy to see that it has features which I use on a weekly basis! Thanks!

I actually created my own toolbar with pyrevit and most likely will be uploading a new video soon.

Dear Sir, If you could help me, I will donate ! I have 20 buildings on my project and the idea is to use one title block. Based on type label list, I have found only sheet name and sheet number only that will change per building type. I also need a separate label that can change as well, i.e. Building A or B or C. Please advise?
