Bruce-I was about “one fourth of a ball width” to far down table to make the four and get position on the five. My only option I saw was to go four rails to get position on the five.

I could never complete this after a ton of attempts. 1,2,3, 4 balls were pretty easy... getting position on the 5 ball was my Achilles heel.
@drchuckingle27784 ай бұрын
@@brucewhipple7316 Thanks for that comment! You too??? I tried and tried and tried--I know the answer is making four rails off the #4 ball but this table’s cushion just aren’t that LIVELY! If I powered with high left English, I either scratched or got jammed up in the corner pocket. 😛😛😛

I am shooting the same schematic from Bryan. Yours was much cleaner than mine. LOL. If you ever want to see my run at a schematic just let me know and I will send it to you. Thanks for sharing these.

@@brucewhipple7316 Bryan has mentioned you many times Bruce. Told me your table is in a chapel 💒 Very nice! Sure, send me how you run these schematics. FYI: when I was having trouble sending them to Bryan, it was his idea to put them up on a KZbin Channel-very easy and no file size restrictions.

You made that sequence way more difficult than it needed to be to say nothing of the potential scratch on the first end rail shot because of the angle of the cue because you under hit the previous ball

It really didn’t matter because the 8 was a duck but generally speaking you want to leave the cue as close to the 8 as possible on the last shot was my point 😊
@robertbyington771511 ай бұрын
Why are you hitting the balls so bloody hard for one and for 2 the 5 is the last ball before the 8 not the 2nd shot in the sequence.

Robert-Taking lessons from Bryan Mitchell of FX Billiards weekly via ZOOM. This schematic is an eight ball 🎱 run out . I ran it three different ways, thus #1,2,3 and Bryan will critique and comment this Friday. Started these sessions when COVID hit and have been doing them for several years now.

That's a beautiful old table; it looks like it's a Phister, maybe? A remnant of Brunswick craftsmanship from the heyday of pool , the early 20th Century!
@drchuckingle2778 Жыл бұрын
Doug you are correct! The table is a Brunswick Balke Collender --Pfister 4 legged model Built in 1898-1911. Oak and with cherry rails. It was in a Masonic Lodge in Tacoma, Washington that was being demolished. Table was in pretty rough shape complete with many cigarette burns on the rails, and the ivory diamonds in the rails were gouged out with a pocket knife. I waited two years for a master billiard table restorer in Arlington Washington to completely restore it. The job took many months and cost $7,500. Today it is the most expensive piece of furniture in my home.
