i watched this a while back, and as an artist myself, it really got me feeling stuff. it rlly described being an artist and the struggles of it so well.

I cannot comprehend this video. Are you sure you watched the right anime? Laois a sociopath? Lacking story? Lacking detail?

What I love about the Frieren is that each character you meet has their own journey. That is what the premise of the anime is. Everyone has a journey in their life and it's how they go about it

The demons on frieren legit scared me, never expected there nature to be so devious compared to generic demons in other anime's or piece of fiction, who's just evil for the sake of being evil. Demons on frieren actually feels like a threat, they have no emotions yet they disguise it by taking advantage of humanities sympathy, idk how to describe it well. They just feels like a natural predator to humans like the anime states, they hunt humans for consumption the same way we hunt animals for the same reason. I know that a lot of other literature delves on the same aspect/topic, but for me frieren really executed it well. Specially that flashback episode with Himmel and the gang, that episode didn't really scared me but made me uncomfortable (not in a bad way). God I love this show, so many simple "cliche's" are (idk what do describe it mb) done very well and executed perfectly, it's not a bad thing it's just oozing in ur familiarity with the genre but u dont expect it to be so good. p.s sorry if my englis is bad, I'm currently working on my vocabulary thanks for reading tho

That video gives me nostalgia. I've seen videos about Frieren's combat, animation, storytelling and the all rang true. Add this one to the list. Best anime I've ever watched.

lol, I very much disagree with this take. especially your overuse/false use of Psychopath/sociopath in your videos to describe everyone who isn't Mental Whitebread. Laois is Monster-obsessed man with Autism, Kabro is his Foil as a social/human expert. the first half is somewhat generic, till the second half explodes the scope and complexity of the story.

that fern/stark moment also has to be put into perspective, Stark is *strong*, like REALLY Strong. and even if he held her shoulder gently yet firmly, it mustve felt like an immovable object on her shoulder

That's how a story should be. It's about characters who are real, alive, thinking, feeling, with experiences beyond what we see. So many other series and shows where a character is just a role in the story and not a sentient being.

I loved Frieren. I Even watched it again with my mom with German dubbing (she isn‘t a subtile person) and she loved it as well and we regulary talk about the show. About the funny things, the music, the animation, the importance of cherishing and using our time, the loss of Himmel and Frieren‘s sadness and all the flashbacks (and the fact, that both loved each other). It‘s not just about all the things above but also how this show catches you on a deep emotional level.

The person who wrote this anime has a good understanding of how reality really is. A lot of shows rely on tropes and oversimplification of emotions in order to points across but Frieren understands that people in reality are not like that at all. Each and every person has there own nuance and depth to their character, more so than even we think when we see a stranger. Intuition makes your judgement of who they are before you even speak to them but I think just like Frieren once you start watching you see there was something you were missing

One piece doesn't have enough buildup? What are you talking about, mate? I started watching One Piece 5 days after Gear 5 was released, and the whole internet was hyped. I kept myself hidden from gear5, and I watched the whole 1000 episodes just to get to Gear 5

and also the fact that almost all the name of people and places and even some spells have a hidden meaning in german this just goes to show how much thought and effort was put into making this absolute gem of show
