What heat setting? Because I use the purple one just about every day in the salon and it’s fantastic but takes quite a while to heat up- also maybe more light and or a lighter shirt because I cannot tell lol 😂 idk 🤷🏻♀️🙄😩🤣

what was the point of this video if your not going to tell us which is better cause your seeing it in reel time and we are seeing it in bad quality.

What a shame that you are wearing black and your hair is black and the room is dark. So it is impossible to see anything. If you are going to do a video, you must consider how it will look to other people so the video can fulfill its purpose.

The lighting in this video is terrible and you have black hair. And you’re wearing a dark shirt. Can not even see the curls

Room is dark and the black shirt with dark hair doesnt show the waves. So I'm left the same way I started, unsure which to buy.

I was thinking the same thing the whole video. I’m like this is the only comparing video I found and I can’t even see how her hair looks cus it’s so dark! 😫

Thank you for taking the time to post this comparison! I was trying to decide on the ceramic tourmaline vs. 24K gold. Your comparison really helped

Thank you for the comparison of these two curling irons. I was going to get the purple one before I saw how well the gold one did. Hate the look of the gold one with the black (it looks tacky to pair gold and black, lol - old rule: gold and brown/silver and black ;) ) but it did a better job. Thanks again!

I, personally, like the 24K better. The curls/waves hold a lot longer. 😊

Hey quick question. My son will be graduating from high school next year. Do know about community college or university he wants to study film, TV etc.... On Okinawa have any suggestion? Thank you
@PurtyGirlTravel9 жыл бұрын
Hi Kimberly! Unfortunately I don't know of any schools on Okinawa, but that's not to say there aren't any. The big University there is Okinawa International, I believe. The school I worked at was a foreign language school mainly for business. I wish him good luck in his future endeavors and I know he will enjoy Okinawa.

Why did you try to get a fukubukuro if your so disappointed with the stuff. It's a gamble but it seems everything you got you don't like :)
@PurtyGirlTravel11 жыл бұрын
@hanito294 This was my first Fukubukuro experience and I really didn't know what to expect. For the clothing purchase I really just wanted the coat. Yes, it is a gamble, but that's how life is also. You just never know what you're going to get, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. :)

Rent is hard to explain here. Since the gov't pays for us, it's really as much as your worth. I've found that whatever your worth is is whatever the price of the home can be...if that makes sense...? You can always negotiate the price too. Sometimes you can find a place that has utilities included. But we pay for internet and electric; the water, garbage and gas are included in our rent.

how much is your rent? and what other cost do you have living off base? Thank you

I was young at the time and most of the support and courage came from my family members. After the 1 1/2 week of no power or light, I went back to school to find out people thought I died because school started a week ago. I feel bad for all those people that actually did loose someone in this hurricane. Your kit is great, you should also add a small stove or "caja china" its literal translation is Chinese box. and You can cook meet with charcoal instead of gas. You should also have sand bags :)

I lived in NC when hurricane Katrina hit, a lot of people who lived in Mississippi and Louisiana moved up there seeking refuge with just the clothes on their backs. Hearing stories like theirs and yours, warms my heart because the human spirit is stronger than what we, people, give it credit for. Thank you for never losing faith in a hard situation when most would give up.

Yes, the jelly fish are very dangerous as well. I've encountered a few since being here, the only thing to do is stay calm and slowly move away from them. Most people don't know that jelly fish actually CAN'T swim, they can only move with the current of the ocean. Good Luck and have a safe summer!

After hurricane Katrina here in Miami my power was out for a almost a week and a half! and since I lived near the everglades the roads were flooded beyond driving conditions. So the government had to drive with food for each household in the area. They gave us water, food, and even dog food lol it was amazing! And our water tuned off so my family and I had to take a shower outside when it rained, we got under a stream from the awning lol worst hurricane ever, Wilma was the same.

Yes, we usually fill the tubs up for both of those reasons. :)

I have 3 big ones, one in the living room, one in the bathroom and one in the laundry room. And since it's been raining, it's been everyday we have to empty them. But when it's not, every couple of days. (:
@PurtyGirlTravel11 жыл бұрын
Yes, you should definitely purchase your dehumidifiers while you are still in the States. They do sell them here, but the only problem with that is, sometimes they run out of stock and it may be 4-6 wks (maybe longer) until they restock that item. And that doesn't just apply to the dehumidifiers, any item that you "can't live without," I would stock up on before coming to the island. Kara told me that she has to empty her dehumidifier at least once a day, and I believe she has two.
@kimmiko132011 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this informative video, I was wondering if I should just buy a dehumidifier here in the states. The big product they sell on base, how often does that fill up? Should you have a dehumidifier in every room/closet/bathroom?

Another selling point to living off base was the quality of internet. I hear horror stories about the on base internet. Off base internet is much better. If you can, try to live closer to a base with lots of amenities, sorry Torii doesn't have much on that base. I hope this helped. Feel free to message me whenever. :)

I love living off base. My husband and I wanted to take the full experience of Okinawa in, that's one of the reasons we wanted to live off base. We live in Okinawa City, it's perfect for us, because it is in the middle of tee city close to a lot of grocery stores, bars and restaurants (within walking distance). We actually live the same distance between Kadena and Foster. I don't really have any recommendation, it really just depends on what you're looking for. Chatan is nice, it on the beach.

Hi! Thanks for sharing your video. wow the 3 BD2BA still looks small. Anyway, my family will be moving to Okinawa this coming May and trying to look for houses for rent off base. Most of the people we encounter says we should live off base as supposed to on base. Do you like living off base? Which area do you live at? Any recommendation as to where a good area to live? would prefer close to Kadena and Torii station. Thanks for any input.
