So angel fall made them switch appearance and elements. For the most part this only caused minor chaos except for the angel that ended up possessing the Russian girl after falling to earth

@@klop4228 It's more tragic the fact not even the stuff post-anime has anything big involving Himegami. I assume it's because the author never bothered to include vampires in the story, but I wouldn't rule them out from appearing eventually.

@@deuce5546 this is the problem when keep introducing more and more characters into the lore as it progress, that anyone who's not part of the major / important cast gets forgotten or not involved in the plot again. Also yeah past her arc, vampires never seem to be relevant again within the magic side.

The reason Himegami isn't ever relevant again is because she was intended to never be relevant again. In the Afterward of her light novel, the author explains that her character concept was intentionally "Someone who can never be the main heroine," to parallel the way Aurelous is unable to be the hero, as Touma already saved the day. Even in her own book, she ends up getting overshadowed by Index. Which is too bad though, she's a ton of fun
