A friend of mine part owned Maljovic, a 40 foot Viking hulled Halvorsen and we had some great days cruising Sydney and The Pitwater. They are lovely boats and more than capable offshore, this one having followed the fleet to Hobart more than once.

I have a serious question as I see this a lot when yacht shopping and this listing is a perfect example.... How is it you list this 2007 for $349k AUD ($227k USD) when newer versions are currently listed for less? 18 currently on Yacht Broker several years newer for far less money. There are a couple of 2012s and 2011s for less than $170k. Even if someone paid asking price at $170k that leaves them over $50k to work with before getting near your listing price for an older vessel. Please don't mention old batteries, solar or other outdated electronics as the reason, we all know that's a joke. I'm actually quite curious on this, thanks.

AHHHhhhhhhhh.....Nirvana. I crewed on this boat in San Diego every week for the informal Bay races, and on Newport to Ensenada races, for ten years or so. I don't know the current stats, but she had the all time record corrected time for the Newport to Ensenada race, back then. I will never forget her. What a magnificent boat. With a stout wind, this boat feels like a railroad train. Here is to this beautiful boat, her crew, and her skipper. Lots of great memories.
