At least you showed how the oil flows. I always question if my 170 flows fast enough. I remember it spitting oil when I first got it. But now it flows but doesn't spit from the chain like it used to.

what i do when saws have been sat a long time unused is fill them up with fuel , remove the spark plug and whizz it over 10-29 times as fast as i can until i see a vapour coming out of the spark plug hole , you can sometimes feel a slight difference in the pull as its getting fuel lubing the barrel. once she's primed refit plug and fire her up. i do it to save my arm and the pull cord from unnecessary ware.

these have a large o-ring on the oil pump which can fail resulting in air leak . i think the crank seal is also located inside the oil pump housing on these as well if my memory serves me right but they are a lovely saw i've had a few but sold them due to my age and not being used .

@wichywooАй бұрын
@@motordiverse1276 the o-ring is approx 28mm-30mm diameter and may be 1mm thick , put plenty of grease on the seal and the mating surface and she wil be fine. i think the carb setting was around 3/4 for the L and 1/2-3/4 for the H for a basic setting ? i sold the one i muffler modded to a man in Wales who used it with a 25" bar to clear the sidings of an old mining railway which is currently being restored . he said it worked great.

@@motordiverse1276 you are doing a great job fixing it up and you will enjoy using it once its leak is sorted out. lots of torque ;o) to muffler mod mine i just cut another port either behind or bellow the current round exit hole using a small cutting disc on a dremmel and then prising it open with a screw driver . you may have to richen the fuel up on the h jet a little though?

I am installing a 602 N in my cabin. It is assembled to the same point where this video ends. Yet, I have bottom and side plates with steel wool attached to them that were given to me with the stove to be installed before using. Do you have a video for how to install these? Or do they not really go with the stove?
@motordiverse12762 ай бұрын
Hey ! Those plates with insulation is for new types that came around 1998. The older ones has different burn plates...and has no burn plates in bottom. In bottom it is recommended 2.....3 cm of stove sand or keep building up the ash layer...and in time it does the same service/ job. There is a baffel plate and two side plates only on the old ones. Use google or e-bay and look up the differences. Jotul 602

No plate on the old versions and classic 602. The new ones as 602 F. and Eco and all from 1998 and newer...has bottom burn plates. The old ones is recommended keeping a layer of ash...ca. 3 cm or use stove sand. Recommended...not totally necessary...but why not do it ! ? Not clean it out totally...but keep a layer of ash...in the bottom...always.

Thank you for your support. I got the same chainsaw and carburetor (020 AVP Stihl_ WA 1). My carb has two membranes and the gasket on top. The membrane with the two flaps first, then the second membrane and the gasket. In the video I saw that you put the membrane with the two flaps and I do not know If you put a gasket on top. My question is why if we have identical units the fuel pump arrangement is different. So I wonder if I should arrange it like you did, but first I am waiting for your opinion. Sincerely my respect and admiration for you. Take care
