I hope the sound was better in person, can barely hear the keyboard, which is an insult to this band.

Fácil criticar cuando nunca as tocado un instrumento y estar de frente con el público pero Rush es Rush simplemente mis respetos x no cualquiera toca está joya

There is a difference to covering a song and being a tribute band. These guys did a great job of covering a great song.

These guys are something special! Great individual talent and fantastic orchestration. Rich, David, and Zak kicking the solos. Ronnie and Billy singing beautifully, while the rhythm section cooks. What a band!

I saw this tour twice, about a year apart. The first time reminded me of this - the mix was muddy and the keyboards were thin, washed out and lost in the mire. The second time, much later in the tour, all that was corrected and the mix was beautiful.

Love how he switched up the rhythm parts here and there. Mike killed it, its hard to sit on someone elses kit with it set up for their height and arm length and play something this complex

Ross absolutely killed it on this, I don’t understand all the hate. This cover is incredibly well done by six incredible musicians.

ok, maybe this is the one I've been searching for. At Brady concert in Tulsa, Tom had his whole forearm down on the keys. I'm still trying to remember stuff cause I was out of my mind in excitement to just be there.

"no one will ever be as good as Neil Peart"... except several drummers already are, including Mike Portnoy. Neil was great 20-30 years ago, but he's been "losing it" for years.

What Jamie_Goguen said below...Portnoy's interpretation was an embarrassment. To play 8th notes on Tom Sawyer is the equivalent as Yvette Preyer playing 8th's with Michael McDonald on I Keep Forgettin...ANATHEMA! Where are the other band members that told Mike his groove SUCKED? What happens when friends get together...they lack the balls to confront shitty playing because he is Mike Portnoy over getting the song correct! Happens all the time...

All you guys talking about the hats. You’re killing me . It’s not that big of a deal . Song still had the same groove . The hats are the easiest part . He nails all the tough stuff . Do you really think that portnoy can’t play the sixteenth notes on the hats ?!?🙄 my opinion he did a great job

I'm surprised at how bad Portnoy sucks on this. He can play so many things masterfully yet he sounds clueless when he misses major Peart-isms such as the hi-hat here...

Wrong hi hat tempo. Neil Peart said this is a hard song play and he's right. Mike is not getting it right here. Vocal is not so good either
@ProgSnob145 жыл бұрын
He's covered this song many times, most recently with Pan Rocks Rush and it was perfect, this was an impromptu likely almost if not unrehearsed performance done alongside several days of intense locked in performances of original material.
@TheGuitarifier4 жыл бұрын
You're an idiot. Do you really thinking Portnoy is playing it WRONG on purpose? If you think covers should sound identical to the original then you have no clue what the point of covering a song is.
