Super helpful! I'm re-binding my mom's quilt for Christmas and this was the one thing I didn't know how to do.

Perfect! I made my sister a small cross stitch and decided to put it on top of 2 layers of batting and a backing, then bind it. She is a quilter (I am not) so it needs to be "up to snuff" and I panicked about how I was going to do the corners. I knew she had a "secret" method to get them mitered but I couldn't call her about it since it is for her present. Thanks ever so much!!!!

Great instructions but how do you bring the two ends of the binding together?

I took a quilting class and forgot how to do this, so thank you for the visual. How do you make a nice seamless line when you add the remainder fabric to the rest of your border? I see I sewed mine on an angle but I don't remember the technique I used.

I've made mitred corners dozens of times. But it's been a few years. Suddenly, I couldn't figure it out! I did it wrong TWICE. Thanks for clarifying so I can complete this quilt.

I don't know if you ever come back to your comments but it's been two years since I learned how to do this from you and I just want to say thank you. I am in a quilt group and by far the binding is the cutest on mine. I'm getting ready to demonstrate this technique today with my group. Hope all is well

I just wondered when you came up to the corner and you back stitch or go off to the side do you actually start back on the other direction by doing a back stitch because I didn't see you do that
