Where’s the big step gone from the first lane ? Or am I thinking of the wrong one?

The whole lane was graded a few years ago, but a mini step is starting to appear. You cannot beat water damage.

Does your mate on the Xtrainer have any extra fuel with him on your rides? Not long got a 2021 XT and have more range anxiety than my previous bikes (350 4t and 250exc)

Hi there , No but I think he can get about 75 miles on a tank, but I cannot remember if that is before or after using the reserve..

i rode up chirk and surrounding areas the other week, it's like there are no welsh riders on the trails - i was disgusted how overgrown and unused some lanes were - i travel 90 mins to get to the health centre to park - we/trail riders could really do with setting up some sort of meeting to address and co-ordinate cutting and what is effectively equivalent to deforesting of some lanes....

I'm always up for a ride to go do this kind of job, but it's fiding people to ride with as I won't ride alone

I've done the short lane through the woods at the beginning of the vid but can't remember where it is. Could you point out the area please?

Great Lanes/Roads you boys are spoilt. Do you travel far to get to them or are you all fairly local?
@ktm83642 ай бұрын
Not me....I have to travel from M6 J18, at least 1 hour each week , usually 2. The others are maybe 1/2 hour nearer.

The clue is in the title...it bypasses Barmouth. see OS maps
@ogasi17983 ай бұрын
head out of barmouth town centre for about 1 mile towards harlech and it is on the right after a large round right hand turn, there is a house on the junction but very easy to miss as it is a sharp turn that is at about 160degreees to the road, little hill looks like a path at first but carry past the house 50 metres and there is a gate , turn right at the gate and boom - great fun in the wet as the rocks are polished to hell, in the dry it is very very easy - if you look on any mapping that shows lanes you will see it using my directions above, it is massive in length on the map so it is easy to see once you look

Hi. At first I thought your bike was a 4 stroke until you stopped. I know the excs are great at lugging but try riding at higher rpm. It will be much more stable. If you’re worried about the wild power valve, just screw the adjuster all the way in so it doesn’t operate. Hope this helps.

@ogasi17984 ай бұрын
i found this one day while roaming, it is called dark lane if i remember right - basically it is near charity lane (i think it is called charity), turn left at end of charity and this is down there on right - can be accessed from the main road below too, follow the dead end signs round a windy step slippy single track road and you are in - looks like a footpath but ......
