This is awesome and I will be giving this a try. I found that using an empty clorox disinfecting wipe container made a great little trash container and the for lack of a better way to describe it at the moment....asterisk...part of the lid...makes a great scrap weeding tool too

I am seeing three different sets of measurements for the tiny box. I downloaded the files from your link in this video. I imported the tiny box and there was an instruction box that says to make the overall size 8.0 inches wide by 9.23 inches high. On your canvas those are not the measurements. Also when I downloaded the tiny box file to Design Space canvas, it has a different measurement. I’m not sure which one to use.
@BeesKneesSVG2 күн бұрын
Hi! Cricut started resizing files upon import, so you might see a lot of different sizes because it doesn’t seem to be consistent. The only way for me to combat that was to put the instruction box on top telling you what size it should be once imported. Please follow the instruction box for the correct size. Thanks!

Can you use the 65 lbs card stock paper also how big can u make the logo on the top of the box looking to try this for son birthday
@BeesKneesSVG3 күн бұрын
Yes, 65 lb works great. I made the tiny sized ones for Valentine’s Day last year and used the 8.5x11 packs bc it’s so much more affordable. For the logo I would make a box first and then take a ruler and use that to judge what you think a good size would be. There is a lot of flexibility and it’s more a matter of preference. I’m sure your son will love it! 💙

What vinyl using? (Adhesive)
@BeesKneesSVG14 күн бұрын
In this video I used Oracle 651 permanent adhesive vinyl - which is great. High quality. But since this video I've also started using Teckwrap permanent adhesive vinyl which I love for the colors and quality. I find it easier to weed and apply.

I dont think that snap weeding would work good with fonts, have you tried?
@BeesKneesSVG14 күн бұрын
That is a great question! I have tried it with fonts. Sometimes it works 100% and saves so much time. But other times it works like 95% (I lose some dots or a random l or i, etc.) and of course 95% is not good enough, so you have to start over. It's definitely risky with fonts. I would say it's safer if they are cursive or all caps and on the larger side. Tiny little fonts are the most risky. I like to use the reverse weeding method on tiny complex fonts.

Omg im so glad i found your page! I have a box of various size/colors Peeps i bought last year with the idea of making them with the logos of a few of my favorite bands for myself and friends ive met because of those band's. My good friend whos super crafty and does the cricut stuff but prefers using her other printer to do stuff with was going to help me with this endeavor but she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and been going through a rough time and even though she loves doing all this stuff i just didn't want her stressing all this for me so i just kinda pushed it to the back of my list of projects and have a box.of peeps sitting in my room...dont get me wrong i also have 2 different years collections of the emo peeps on my dresser and in the living room on top.of my vinyl record shelves lol.

How do you know at what pressure to set the blade?
@BeesKneesSVGАй бұрын
Hi! Great question! It's trial and error. I start by picking a pre-set material setting and try to cut with that. I look that material up and see what the pressure is and then I add more or less depending on my results. For example, I was trying to get a kiss cut on a sticker paper that I bought off of Amazon the other day. I started with Cricut's waterproof sticker paper, but it cut through in certain parts. I looked up the pressure using the method in this video and backed off by 25 pressure points each time until I got the perfect kiss cut. Now I have the kiss cut setting for my favorite sticker paper saved. Hope this helps.

What if the maker absolutely will not show up? It connects to my laptop, but will NOT connect to my desktop.
@BeesKneesSVG2 ай бұрын
Make sure it's disconnected from your laptop before trying to connect to your desktop and is your desktop seeing other Bluetooth devices (just making sure your desktop Bluetooth is working).
@daiseyjames80852 ай бұрын
@BeesKneesSVG my laptop isn't even here. Like it. Reds to be fully forgotten from the laptop?
@BeesKneesSVG2 ай бұрын
No, if your laptop isn't there, then that is not the issue. Make sure your Maker is plugged in, turned on and with 10-15 feet of your desktop. Go into "Bluetooth and Other Device Settings" and Add Device. Make sure your blue tooth on your computer is toggled to On. If you don't see your Maker, look down in Other Devices. If it's there but not connected select remove device. Once it's removed it should be discoverable again in Add Device. If you don't see it in any of those places, there might be an issue with your Maker and you might need to call support. Let me know how it goes.
