you must be mistaken, Christianity is not a cult, but a religion. there is a HUGE difference, "Religions therefore seek a mass following. Cults, however, rely on secret or special knowledge which is revealed only to initiates by the cult's founder or his/her chosen representatives." God isn't a petty ruler that wants us to follow His silly rules. He created the world (Genesis 1:1) and us (Genesis 1:26). therefore, it's quite foolish of you to assume He doesn't get the control. He's sovereign, holy, just, and He is love. I'm pretty sure God knows what sacrifice is, and that's why "it is finished" with the cross. Your promises, and your imaginary friend, failed 30+ years ago. I've had literally hundreds of christians praying for me to agree with them over the last 30+ years.
