I found it way easier to use when the actual grease packing tools that you just hook a grease gun on to and you sandwich the bearing between

Roll the bearing over and press the rollers into the grease on your hand. You're working to hard.

I tend to agree--the goal is packing not smacking, but both techniques work. I had 8 bearings to repack from my trailer this past weekend, so preferred not to abuse my palms. Thanks for the video. Liked your video on testing your starter, as well.

Check the electrolyte/water levels in your battery and check the voltage with a meter. The voltage should be around 15 vdc. If not, request another one. With new batteries, check the electrolyte levels and charge the battery before installing. The manufacturers never charge the batteries, nor do any retailers. They don't check the electrolyte levels either. Every battery I've bought had low electrolyte levels and had to be charged overnight.

I just put grease and the bearing in a zip lock bag and work it in. No mess

Don't forget to tighten the lock nut tight and then loosen it and tighten it to spec helps spread and settle the grease

People do not do not pack wheel bearings The way this guy does,,, He did not get any grease packed in the bearing When slapping it on his hand,, No not the way to do it! All you get doing it this way is a burn up bearing,, And a loose cannon flying down the highway when the tire Hub and all Comes off while going down the highway Because of a Burned up bearings.

The way I was taught by a 60year old with 40+ years experience I’ve been packing bearing this way for 5+ years no complaints even on 18 wheelers everyone has there own way 👍🏽 thank you for the comment though

Bullshit! Ive been packing wheelbearings like this since i was 11, so 36 years and have NEVER had a bearing problem! This is the ONLY guranteed way to be certain that the bearing is greased throughout. Hes not just "Slapping it in his hand" hes pushing the grease through the edge of the cage with the heel of his hand, go spread your bullshit elsewhere!

@Blakes_Garage 18 wheelers wheel bearings are oil bath,,, Only a very few are grease packed. From when I started when I was 16 To now which is over 35 years, I have never seen Anybody repack wheel bearings in such a poor manner. If I had ever done it that way. I would have been fired on the spot. Again people don't do it like this guy says, He Doesn't know what he's talking about. He's going to get somebody killed,, When a wheel bearing fails and the tire hub and all comes flying off At sixty Plus miles an hour. All because the wheel bearing was not properly packed with grease.

I put grease inside the rotor ( liberally) and if you push the bearing on slowly you see it fill the bearing like your hand does

Slapping it in there wouldn't help because of how thick the grease is it'll get pushed out and away before being pushed in Just put the whole bearing in there push it to the bottom then push the grease down
