@ThePhotographyHobbyist
@ThePhotographyHobbyist Күн бұрын
Hello and thank you! I appreciate the compliment. I don't have the Z50 anymore (I have a Z8 and Zf) and I normally don't do camera settings videos, BUT I did do a few in the past for the Nikon Z50. The Z50 has fewer menus than the Z50 so maybe some of the things I show/mention in the Z50 video aren't exactly duplicated on the Z5, but they usually are, The Nikon menus on their Mirrorless cameras are nearly the same, but some of the more expensive models simply have more features available to configure. I think the Z50 videos show most of what I would have set in the Z5. Let me know if this is helpful. You can also use the contact link on my website if you have other more specific questions: www.thephotographyhobbyist.com/ Here are the Z50 settings videos I mentioned: Photo settings - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJPGo5qfmJaUaMU Video Settings - kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3zQZqGCfthlebs And a video that talks about my typical editing in Adobe Lightroom - kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4unoZ6aZqihis0

I just bought a used 2021 Steiner 450 with turf tires. Living in the pacific NW is always wet here. Do you think bar tires would be better in wet grass on slopes…or are the field track tires a winner? I have duals on the Steiner and the turf tires aren’t doing that great.
@ThePhotographyHobbyist
@ThePhotographyHobbyist 3 күн бұрын
@@stoweman34 on my previous zero turn I had the bar style tires and it did well on the hills but with your Steiner I’d think you’d be better off overall with something like the ‘Field Trax’ tires and the tread they have. You’d probably be OK with either style but if I had a Steiner I think I’d want the field trax tires unless I had really rough conditions (then I might want the bar style Carlisle tires). The regular turf tires can be a but dangerous on hills when it’s wet and they slip.

Thanks for making this video. I’ve owned the Zf since last year and I love the camera. The ergonomics are the worst part of the camera making a handgrip absolutely necessary. I have every handgrip available for the Zf inclusive of a 3D printed one I purchased from Etsy. I would rank them as follows: #1 - Neewer for overall functionality, aesthetics, and the Arca-Swiss glides #2 - Fotodix for aesthetics because the handle is made from high quality wood has Arca-Swiss glides #3 - SmallRig for ergonomics if you like the sticky feeling of the grip, I didn’t #4 - Nikon’s official handgrip is the worst of the bunch. You can only find it on eBay because it’s only sold in Japan. It’s the worst ergonomically of all the offerings available. #5 - 3D Printed Handgrips are a crap shoot. I’ve found those made on Etsy to be unreliable because they never have the measurements right and they’re expensive. I hope this helps provide additional context on which handgrips are out there other than the Neewer and SmallRig.

On my Razor, model #911605, it's not the rear wheels that lock up, but it's the front wheels, and they only lock up when I'm pulling it backward. Just randomly stumbled on this video and that Neewer grip actually looks great on this camera for a 3rd party grip. I love that it has the thumb grip. I really wanted to like the Nikon Zf but the ergonomics are trash. And it's quite possible to make a "retro" camera and still have good ergonomics - clearly Fuji has figured it out with the XT line. I moved from Fuji xt5, xs20 to Nikon ZF and Z30. Could not be happier. For me, the xt5 needed a small ring grip to give a solid hold. But the Nikon blows the XT5 away in terms of focus, low light, and build quality. After 6 months, I had to send in my XT5 in for a full replacement of the board- the controls for shutter speed and ISO stopped working. Regarding the grip for XF I have both of these and like the small rig a little better at this point.

Similar issue with my X-T5. This problem seems to have cropped up after the infamous firmware update last month and the subsequent update did not resolve the problem. As it is out of warranty, I will no doubt be charged up the you know for a repair. My faith in Fuji is solely being tested as of late. I have 3 batteries, all with a lot of life still left in them, so that is not the issue. This is a 2-year-old camera, my X-T2/3 have had no issues nor my X-PRO 3 in all the years since I have been a Fuji shooter, the ‘5’ is the first ‘dud’. I think the only thing people are 'complaining' about with the Z6 III is a drop in Dynamic Range (base, up to ISO 800) compared to Z6 II and Zf, but it's not a huge loss (about 1 stop I think). Just depends on what you need/want and how much someone 'needs' to beat their files to death in editing. I rarely push the exposure of a photo more than 1 stop in editing, so it wouldn't be a big issue for me...but I admit, I like more DR than less, if I can get it :-)
