The plaque 'roughly' says from top to bottom: "Guaranteed Handmade ... When soiled, clean with dry brush not with water." So, it's obviously German but nothing indicates a time or place of specific origin, although, it shouldn't be hard to find similar pieces or a possible match using google lens. My guess is that it's likely a 'black forest' type of wood craft.

You are so sweet. I really appreciate that! Have you actually had the surgery or are you planning to soon? I'll give any advice I can. I can honestly say it has impacted my life for the better!

@@Conquering-The-Chaos I’m just waiting for my consultation appointment date. I have been approved by the Canadian health care system to have the surgery. It been almost 2 weeks since my doctor referred me. I’m on pins and needles waiting for the call for my consult date. 💕 Why did you decide to go to Mexico to have the surgery? Faster surgical dates there?? 😊

@Natalie Burrows that's awesome, congratulations! I pray it goes well 😀 I decided on Mexico because of a few reasons really. 1 was definitely the ability to schedule sooner, 2 the total cost was way way cheaper, and 3 the surgeon I went to does the same surgery here in the US, he actually teaches it to med students here and in Mexico, so I felt really good about him. They also do a double suture line down there that they don't do here so there's less of a chance of leaking or busted stitches.
