This is an amazing little rigger - but a little pricey for me as an Indie just using this kind of thing once in a while, not all the time! But I understand there is a lot of work, so it is probably justifiable! Thanks for the tool - maybe I buy in the future! Also, if we have mocap data, can this be put "on top" of the mocap data to correct limbs for example?

Hey man, I just bought it and it is not working for me. Not sure if I am doing something wrong. I got the errors on 19.5 but then I read you comment and installed 19, both Py3 and Py2. The Hdas load normally and no error. But my combined controls are empty inside, only the outline of the face but no features. My other nodes provide much less points than yours and I can´t figure out a way to add them. My eye brows are set to 7 but does not change the amount of points on my vieport. In your example I can see all 7 points for the eyebrows. Can you help me sort this out?

The Legoize asset crashes houdini for me on 19.5, but it does still work in 18.5!

This looks promising but I'm confused if it works with Houdini 19.5 - On Orbit it says your Version 8 only works with Houdini 19, but your version 7 says works with 19.5 - can you give us some updated info? Thanks.

Sadly, I couldn't follow your instructions, some node (kevfx_face_init_skeleton , kevfx_face_add_extra_joints) threw a punch of errors.. I'm using fresh installed Houdini Apprentice 19.5 ... thank you a lot in advance.

There are some issues with H19.5 and asset publishing because H19.5 is very new. So please use H19 for the moment. Once the issues are resolved, I will reply here to inform you again.

The auto-rig tools are based on joints with same naming. If your char skeleton joints have the same names with the Init Skeleton asset (after the mirroring), then the auto-rig node should just work nicely. Again, if your fbx char is from mocap, then it might has less joints than actually needed for smoothly twisting of the forearm, shoulder and legs. Please let me know more details of your specific requirements, we might look into adding it into next version of the tool. Again, for now this tool set is more for quick keyframe animation, but not modifying mocap data. Thanks.

I'm new to KineFX, and im trying to animate the face and body for a character. I'm also testing a physics based animation tool called Cascaduer. I'm think of animating the body in Cascaduer then retargeting the anim with KineFX, and then animate the face in Houdini.

I have some questions: 1) Are these controllers "rigpose attached controllers", or separate nulls? 2) Can an OBJ (not SOP) HDA be made containing these nodes and you still will be able to select these rig controllers of the HDA at OBJ level? 3) Will "kinefx__rigpose" viewer state have ot be set on the OBJ level HDA in order to have these controllers visible/selectable at OBJ level? 4) Can these rig controllers be constrained to other external controllers/nulls in other HDAs or geo networks at OBL level? These controllers are created through "Attach Joint Geo" nodes. They will be available through "kinefx__rigpose" viewer state at SOP level because the H19 Kinefx nodes are at SOP level. And I don't think we can just simply expose kinefx__rigpose to OBJ level. The controllers are not for OBJ level constraints directly, but note that the end products of KineFX are just SOP level "joints" which are just points (with transformation values), so I guess you can do OBJ level constraint work by utilizing the points (the "joints"). And again, all depends on what you want to do. Hope these answer your questions. :)
