I've just done a recap on a broken GG and was looking for a screen. Appreciate you have install videos for this, the BennVenn and the RetroSix. I watched them all and decided to go with this Ali express one; I'm in Aus and shipping the Benn Venn or RetroSix was a lot, but looks like this one is plenty good enough for me. Cheers!

I have the mains powered PMF220 and it's probably the most versatile power tool ever. You can make cuts that no other machine will do, in all types of materials. I've even used it to chase walls for electric installations. I'm here because I find it a pain in the arse getting the cable neatly into the box after every use and like the idea of going cordless. I have a feeling I'm about to pull the trigger on this.

Innr bulbs actually support power on behaviour as well! It is unfortunate that Hue does not support power on behaviour for other bulbs, since this does work in Home Assistant!

I always found resin printing a lot easier and more consistent. They're easy to level and there's only one axis of movement.

I got myself one and at first, it sounded horrible but given the price..... but after using it for a while, I feel the speaker got broken in and it now seems to have more bass than it did at first! pretty happy with it given the price.

It's much easier to plug in the right rail by leaving the rail detached; the "pigtail" part can then slide under the circuit board while making the connection. Then just a little teasing with the spud brings the cable back down into place and the rail too.

K-retro that sells the BennVenn screen kits, also offers replacement Lynx 2 lens bezels. They are quite nice, but do have a slightly different feel/texture on them with the paint used and they do NOT have the Atari logo on them as the originals did. They had to do that for obvious reasons.

Anyubic build plates = notoriously concave, which results in failed prints. Take a straight edge and see if it's machined correctly. Next, the textured resin is amazing but requires longer bottom exposure times. I have mine set at 55s per layer. the anycubic website settings suggestions are way off.

For plastic screens I use polywatch, abs brilliant for bringing back acrylic and other plastic screens, Mother's plastic polish is also very good but can leave a bit of residue and dust compared to polywatch. For glass I have a 12 set of diamond polishes and you work through the grades so if its mild scratches you don't need to hit the highest diamond grit and start in the middle and deep scratches you run through the whole set from heaviest to lightest and assess and if still visible scratching run through the list again until you get a perfect finish and I then use some diamond shell type car polish to seal it in giving it a nice shell of acrylic to keep it static free and shiny. Diamond paste sets found on Ali baba and da forty teeves and Alibongo Express :D

I have just experienced my points being stolen. I immediately called Nectar to ask how this could’ve happened. As you described they were very quick to organise a new card for me and reimburse my points. I could see the points had been used in North Allerton and then later in Oldham. I kept asking how this happened and was told they have a special team investigating such issues and he wasn’t able to tell me anymore- I felt he was just fobbing me off. I wanted to know if there was something I could have done to prevent it. Your explanation has exposed that we can’t prevent it and that Nectar are being irresponsible by not addressing it If they are giving all these people back lots of points, this money has to come from somewhere and obviously we’re paying more for our groceries. Thank you for this great video. I’m going to speak to the manager of my Sainsbury’s and alert them to your video. Thank you.

A bit late to the party, but the more the merrier 😁 Retro Consoles are great fun and often at a very low price. I have many similar devices both vertical and horizontal designs and i find something to love in all of them. Recently baught a GB300 for less than £8.50 (£9.50) delivered. Changed the battery from the installed 850maH to a 4200maH, absolutely hours of fun for less than £10, you can't even see a whole movie for that. I love tinkering with the Linux backends that most of these devices have. I have both the Horizontal R36H and the Vertical R36S and love them both. You should try the TrimUi Smart Pro (less than £50), a fantastic console, and then the other end of the spectrum, try the SF3000, a great console for less than £20. Go on, give em a go 😁👍

@Kip Hakes, I have recently purchased the Ninja Double Stack 2-Drawer Air Fryer 7.6L - SL300UK version, mine has the touch control buttons instead of the dial and so far I have not experienced any of your issues so far and its used almost daily and we wash it by hand as we don't have the space for a dishwasher in our kitchen.

Curious in replacing the thermal paste, do you have to remove that copper heat sink as well to replace the thermal underneath? Or can you just replace the thermal on top of the heat sink and the shield plate? Other than that great video.
@kiphakes5 күн бұрын
Replacing it isn’t a bad idea, especially if you have it open. It’s not mandatory, but if your existing paste looks crusty it’s definitely a good thing to do
