How many windows does the kit cover?
@Justanothervideo24 ай бұрын
It varies. You have to measure the distance around the window pane that needs repair. Each kit comes with ten feet of material. Thats enough for some windows and not enough for larger windows. You can order whatever additional material you need on the website, www.diyrvsolution.com

I have super hard calcium deposits that seem impossible to get off. Any tips?
@Justanothervideo210 ай бұрын
Use white vinegar and a few drops of dishwashing detergent. Spray it on heavy, let it soak and keep it wet for 30 minutes. That will remove the calcium build up. You'll never get the etching off but you'll see through it just fine while driving once you get the calcium off.

Great video. One quick question: if the center column is secured by rivets through the face rather than a screw through the edge of the frame, do you drill them out?
@Justanothervideo2 Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can drill out the rivets and replace them with new ones.

Yes, I recommend that you do both the moving and stationary while you have them out of the frame. It saves the possibility of coming back later!

Outstanding video. Just had to pull a window because the outside seal was starting to fail and leaking a tiny bit of water into the RV. It also has two pieces of glass that have leaked. My window is identical to yours, but what's crazy is the lower stationary piece is fine, but the slider and upper pieces are leaking and filled with moisture. I will order some stuff and get it done as you've described. Thanks so much for all the info!

Great video! Thank you for all the tips! Made my hubby watch it a few minutes ago. We pulled our door window out today as the condensation & water streaks were terrible & I couldn't stand it one more day! 😂 She's an old gal - 2002 Holiday Rambler DP. There was a metal "spacer" around the inside of the 2 pieces of glass. So like the foam spacer but very thin metal. It had the black silicone all around it too. Wondering if we should reuse the metal piece or just use the foam spacer? Haven't found any videos on doing these older door glass repairs yet.

Just using the foam spacer is all you will need! Take care and God Bless, Jeff and Mel

Would it be a good idea to use steel wool 0000 grade to remove sticky stuff on the inside window ?
@Justanothervideo2 Жыл бұрын
If you have something sticky I would use Goo Gone or Acetone. Then, clean the window with glass cleaner

Thanks for the video. I just did my 2018 Fleetwood 35K front right fixed window. All went well, except my fixed window was thinner by 1.5mm (compared to the slider) if the window seal was 1/4" wide I'd be perfect. The 3/16" seal worked but the window was loose in the frame (side to side). I had some 3M double-sided black sticky tape and ran it around the window on the inside and outside and that brought it up the same thickness as the slider window and it fit in the gasket then into the frame perfectly. I bought two seal kits from you so I plan on doing the driver side soon

If you do this in the winter, do you bring it inside in the heat or stay outside in a garage?

Thats a great question! Bring it inside. You want to be in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment.

I never leave comment on videos, and I only subscribe to those who not only show how to do something clearly, but also explain and provide understanding as to why something is built and assembled the way it is. This video checked all the boxes I look for but provided more insight into this project and it was what I needed. I look forward to learning more from you sir! Thank you!

So glad it worked for you! 90% of RV windows are spaced at 3/16 so that is the only thickness I have this manufactured at! I may look at adding 1/4" as an option if I get enough demand for it. Take care and Let me know if you need anything at all!

Great video, just visited a glass company and they wanted 2-4 weeks to do what i just saw you do in 15 minutes. Very nice. I do have one question, when you put the window back in the coach you did not show if you used Butyl or any type of sealant on the inside of the rubber?
@Justanothervideo22 жыл бұрын
The inside of the window usually has it's own foam seal adhered to the frame. I use that and a very small amount of silicone around the top and front of the window. Thanks for watching the video!

I've owned and carried my SW40VE since 2007 and never disassembled it beyond removing the slide. It just took me less than 30 minutes to install this spring and it feels like I have a brand new gun. The trigger pull is now lighter, but not too light which, in my opinion would be unsafe. S&W overbuilt the trigger and this mod is the way it should have come from the factory. Thank you, Sigma Trigger!

What does the pig tail spring do? Thanks
@Justanothervideo23 жыл бұрын
The Pigtail spring was sometimes referred to as the 'Lawsuit' spring! S&W made this gun so close to the Glock that they were sued by Glock. Some of the parts would even swap out! Glock won the suit and part of the settlement required S&W to make some changes, the pigtail spring was one of the changes!
