The SOS is not following best voting practices from the start. 70% of America votes with hand marked paper ballots. They've moved away from computer voting. WHY? Because a hand marked paper ballot is a physical document that records and verifies voter intent in real time. Machines can't do that. Machin es can be used to tabulate after the voter has marked their paper ballot. Athen-Clarke County saw that hand marked paper ballots were best practice for a secret ballot, for social distancing during a pandemic, to best follow Ga laws and rules, and to speed up the voting process. The SOS and State BOE stopped them from innovation that would solve all the problems that fulton County is having. AJC poll shows that 55% of Ga Voters want hand marked paper ballots used for Elections. 35% wanted the BMDs. I've seen all these problems with my own eyes. It's time to demand Dominion Voting provide software to "upgrade" (their word) their BMD hard drives to support hand marked paper ballots. THAT is one of their existing software options. USE IT...

ONLY 2 DEATHS?! I live in West End, and in a 2 or 3 week period FOUR PEOPLE were shot within 100 ft of my house. No body shut my neighbor hood down. Only 79 cases?! The state of Florida, and counties within are implementing active protocols for public safety. They have also provided 'some' details about the activities of the identified Corona-virus carriers. Why is GA / Fulton county being so evasive???

Terrible briefing. There was not a comprehensive action list of what was being done to assure the public that the County is proactively engaged in mitigation of community spreading of the coronavirus. The casual manner angered me. That briefing was a waste of time. So disappointed.

I met Commissioner Darnell, in person, at one of her visits to the Hapeville Senior Center a few years ago. At the time, I was working as a 'volunteer' with the SCSEP (Senior Community Service Employment Program). I taught technology and computer classes to senior citizens, many of whom were over the age of 75 years. Commissioner Darnell - 'Thanked me, for my service.' I was embarrassed on that day, and today remain in awe. I enjoyed the work I was doing, and had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful individuals. But, the work did not 'pay' and I was desperate to get "paid." Commissioner Darnell's impression on me that day was that my 'work' at its core and in life is to do the simple thing that helps someone else throughout every phase of life. It is to be done with respect and honor, and performed with grace. After that, I began attending the county commission meetings at Stonewall Tell, more often. I began taking young people with me, and encouraging others to become involved in the processes of their county government. Even today, I vow to 'get busier.' Thank you, Commissioner Darnell!
