Thanks for the tutorial!!! Do you know how to make it lower ? 😮
@sibilaextremevocal22 сағат бұрын
Yes but it usually takes more time and practice. It's very easy to use too much breath, transist into a death growl or cause a discomfort (too much breath or too much tension). What helps me and my students is practicing with the syllable "whoa" and repeating it gradually lower (we imagine that we turn circles that are bigger and directed lower with each repetition - it helps to gradually lower the larynx and lift the soft palate which darkens the voice, which makes it sound lower but it also makes it easier to lower the actual pitch of the sound). Practicing with intervals like minor second, major second or minor third helps as well. You start with a higher sound, e.g. C#3 and you go from it to C3 or B2,or A#2, and then you go from C3 to B4 or A#2 or A2, depending on the interval you use.

It turned out that I learnt a similar style of screaming the same year as Knocked Loose was formed (2013). I didn't know it until one of my past students told me. I learnt this type of screaming because I couldn't do a decent fry scream or high false chord.

How do I know if im using the false folds or the arytenoids? Im having trouble finding the difference
@sibilaextremevocal11 күн бұрын
False vocal folds creater a slightly smoother and less gritty sound than the arytenoid cartilages. Arytenoid cartilages also create more intense vibration in the larynx and are placed above the false vocal folds, in the back of the larynx.

I Philed every moment of this video and now I Phil motivated. I watched your video about how to scream like Chuck Schuldiner and haven't learn all of it yet, and watched this video and this pretty much 😵💫. Phil is my first and favourite vocalist of all time and I didn't know that he's thaaaat good. Also his kind of vocals on suicide note pt 2 one of the most aggressive sh I heard in my life. Thank you for good detailed video!

I have a problem with my kargyraa: my false folds are vibrating but my true chords are vibrating much more. Basically my true voice rises above the false folds distortion which sounds weak in comparison, and I lose the darker tonal qualities that you have in this video. What can I do?

Twang, sometimes combined with a bit of nasality (just as in the "nee" syllable) can be extremely helpful for achieving a comfortable and consistent distortion :) I'm happy it worked!

Great exercise bro! By the way, if I'm trying to get rid of my real voice, why does become breathy?
@sibilaextremevocal19 күн бұрын
It might be caused by keeping the placement too close to your true vocal folds. When they relax and open, you get rid of the pitch but you gain extra air.
