I’m sorry to disagree with most of the comments here. There’s no doubting Eric Bosgraafs’ virtuosity which is truly outstanding but I feel such an exaggerated performance of what is a beautifully crafted simple sonata has destroyed what I feel is the the composers intention of exciting elegance. Why do some recorder professionals feel the need to to overact rather than let the music speak for itself?

I think it is a very good work, congratulations! However, although I love Japanese folk music, Noh and Kabuki theater, the music in this video has a destabilizing psychological effect on me.
