PSA for anyone also wanting to do this, DO NOT go climbing on your own if you have no/little experience. They are doing it in a safe way, and make doing it that way look easy because they have a lot of experience. There are however a lot of little things that can go wrong if you don't completely know what you're doing and what your gear does, that can make it very unsafe really quickly. If you are interested, go to a local climbing community (climbing gym, student organisation or general group) and I'm sure they would love to help you do it safely :)
