How do I turn it to "rain" for the winter?
@CC-ip3veАй бұрын
Remember folks, the pipe will be underground so it will not be as straightforward as he's demonstrating. Just getting the fitting in both ends of the pipe will be your toughest task. I recommend digging enough space to be able to flex the pipe.

I'M PISSED OFF LIKE YOU CANT IMAGINE BECAUSE THESE DAMN TIMERS CUT PRESSURE IN HALF MAKING MY MILNOR SPRINKLERS NEARLY USELESS!!!! IS THIS DONE ON PURPOSE OR SOMETHING?!?!?
@waterproau2 ай бұрын
I don't think they make them drop flow on purpose. I think it's unfortunate collateral damage from making them fit a price point many desire.
@JoeBilello19692 ай бұрын
@@waterproau I gotta tell ya, if that's the reason, I couldn't think of anything more counterintuitive because of the money it cost in lost work, seeds, moss and top of the line Milnor sprinklers that aren't covering half the advertised area because of these timer issues, which disallows you getting proper coverage for the area a particular person may be dealing with. I'm seriously tempted to take this timer apart to see exactly what it is thats restricting the flow, it may be as simple as drilling out a ball-valve.
@waterproau2 ай бұрын
The restriction us caused by the path the water passes through being so small.

28volts because there is no load yet and once you get long cable runs you can get volt drop depending on cable size and quality of connections. Pays to have a bit more voltage to begin with. Pretty much just like its good to have as much pressure for the water to begin with before friction lose occurs down the line on long runs.

Very informative video, you should also cover the left strip and right strip mp rotator heads with adjusting distance and how to set it right.

Why in high flooding areas do they not put in. Underground water towers to prevent too much flooding....is consistent with flooding that it always goes to a certain height or area across?

Do you heat the pipe before cutting! Obviously I didn't notice in your demonstration but does it allow for a cleaner cut?

Well the one question I have is arent the longer shaft ones more suseptible to not only getting damaged and run over but less likely to pop up correctly if they are gritty or muddy or off kilter.
@BigEightiesNewWave2 ай бұрын
Damaged? No. They only pop up when watering, strong spring retracts them, below surface of lawn somewhat. The sprinkler body is underground. With 4 inch pop up stem, you can also countersink them slightly, and still have plenty of stem to get spray head above the grass. Here in USA, Orbit has a pro-grade model that has a metal cap, more seals, and a thicker body to be more resistant to breakage and last longer. I am currently replacing mine with these. It is worth a few extra dollars each.

I like that the R-VANs are flushable to clean out grit, but I prefer the reduced application rate and increased consistency of the MP Rotators.

waste of time video, camera constantly moving can't focus, There is no example of the spray pattern or ever a graphic of the pattern. Lot of useless talk for the average person putting in a sprinkler system, maybe its for a professional in the business to install.

I had never heard of either before. I've been using the worm gear and screw clamp type. Just can't get the clamp tight enough to prevent leaking. I will look up the cobra clamp.

Hello very nice video! I would like to ask, I am finalising a design for my gravity fed drip irrigation and my source water is from 40m elevation away. Sould I put my pressure regulator still on the source or should I place it near my drippers?
@waterproau5 ай бұрын
I wouldn't install a pressure reducer at all for a system like that.
@dhanapos35665 ай бұрын
Will I not be having problem with the drippers?
@waterproau5 ай бұрын
Very unlikely. 40m is 400kpa. By the time you get to the drippers you'll have some reduction.
