I think you're still missing a lot of important lore about each faction 😂😂😂 Black Swan said she's a memo keeper from the Garden of Recollection. Memo keepers possess the ability to access, store, edit, or even delete people's memories. There’s also another faction for memo keepers, which is the Cremators. Acheron is a self-annihilator-someone who gets too close to the Nihility. Most self-annihilators lost their will to live. In Acheron’s case, she lost parts of her memories and senses but gained emanator-level power (that's why she's not good with memory). Some self-annihilators join the Doctors of Chaos (another faction related to the Nihility) to find a cure, help others affected by the Nihility, or even to kill IX themselves. My interpretation is that Black swan was trying to access Acheron's memory, but the power if the nihility is too much for her to handle. You can read all of this in the database btw.

I haven't played this game yet, but many otome games actually have great stories, and some good game play. Do be careful about "taking notes" on exact behaviors, because some of these characters are beloved for these actions *because* it is just a game, and the threat is safe.

Your pace in catching up to Reverse content has honestly been pretty impressive, all things considered; getting through the full main story, plus a couple of event ones, all in 3 months, was really cool to see. Oh btw, and speaking of which, this is kind of a shameless plug, but I did make a Reverse music video on my own channel, a retrospective that basically goes over all 1.0-1.9 main story content (through cutscenes and trailers), if you'd like to check it out. It uses Apeiron's theme/the battle theme from Chapter 5, and Sophia's battle theme from Chapter 7 - the two actually work with each other quite well, since I think they were composed as disparate halves of the same track, and meant to be played together (you can also check out the "Kingdom of Numbers+Me inside the Bottle" track on KZbin to hear this directly in action). With that said, here are some hopefully constructive or helpful remarks about your reaction: -You don't need to make a tier list if you don't want to lol - I don't feel we need to "rank" songs to appreciate them, or to acknowledge we don't. -The term "EP" is used in the music industry, traditionally in the context of vinyl records. It normally means "extended play", in contrast to "long play" (LP) and "singles"; LP - a term that's a bit obsolete nowadays - is a specific vinyl format that essentially contains a full album, while EPs are a format of recordings that have more songs than just a single (which contain one or maybe two songs max), but fewer than an LP. Nowadays though, EPs within the context of gacha games are usually just single tracks associated with a specific character or event (or the game in general). Not sure when they started using it that way, can't find much info on that. -The "Campbell" EP is about Tooth Fairy (despite featuring Blonney and Jessica) as it's her last name, and the tune is actually what she hums during her ultimate animation. -It is believed "Numbers" is foreshadowing for Chapter 7, yes; the people disappear in order of their exiting the chapter (and in 210's case, story as a whole). -Since you loved 1.5, you should definitely play 37's anecdote which is currently running - no spoilers, but characters from that patch do make a cameo. Also, Ezra and Spathodea's character stories should be available, you should try to find the time to go through them when you can (along with those of other events like 37 and 6 from 1.4)! Anecdotes are also worth going through, some of them like Erick's or Sotheby's are genuinely beautiful. -Jiu needs a hug for sure, as you'll see when you play 1.6 😅That event got some hate for its pacing when it released, but there are some very good moments in it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! The sound at the end of her EP is her dolls singing, I believe. -"Salvation" is my favorite song out of everything Reverse has released (although some like Go Together or Goodbye are also strong contenders for me), and it's widely considered one of the best and most impressive tracks in the game. It also has an appropriately high amount of views compared to all the post-release Reverse stuff which usually don't have that much as it's a heavily underrated game. Also, I didn't notice this at first, but the video features rain falling upwards in its second part, which is a cool detail for that chapter. -Yep, "E Lucevan le Stelle" is the name for Chapter 6 - it means "the stars are shining", and is the name of an aria in the Tosca opera (a work heavily referenced throughout chapter 6). That line is also said by Isolde at the very end of the chapter. Also, the track itself is a cover of one of the movements of Brahms' 3rd Symphony. -Someone probably already told you this, but Isolde's VA is an actual opera singer, which explains her singing abilities. I can't wait for you to play her character story when it reruns, it gives a whole new insight on her and why she is the way she is! Fair warning though, it's also fairly disturbing as it focuses on some pretty heavy and realistically dark subject matter. -1.8 is my third favorite patch after 2.1 and 1.9 - it's, essentially, an analogy for small industrial towns that are dying from lack of funds due to their services or resources becoming obsolete as technology progresses. The patch is very much worth playing through, but if you do so, you _have_ to play Vila's character story after finishing the main patch story as it serves as an epilogue, without which the story is not complete. It's also, in my opinion, by far the most depressing patch in the whole game when taken as a whole, despite stiff competition. Oh, and the other character is named Windsong, and she's one of the best DPS in the game even still currently; her character story is also very good (and quite sad as well). -"Polar Night" is done in the style of late Soviet post-punk bands, and very reminiscent of depressive Eastern European or Russian cities at the end of the Cold War. -Fun fact: Reverse's official account spoiled the Sophia-Manus twist by releasing that song (and some shorts) which featured her new outfit in the thumbnail only a few days into the patch, before players really had time to reach that part in the story. People were not happy, lol. Also yes, there was a cover of this in the fan concert, but with a female vocalist. Personally, I prefer the chorus and bridge of this original, but the vocals of the cover more generally. -No, you're confusing "Dust to Dust" with "My Song 9", which was the 1.9 trailer song (also a banger well worth checking out in full, by the way, though maybe on your own time as it's heavily copyrighted). "Dust to Dust", like "Reasons", was also covered during the concert. Also, there's a small easter egg during the video pointing to Lucy getting booted from Laplace (the paper on the chair reads "LSCC Personnel Position Change Notice"). -"Vereinsamt" means "alone" or "to become lonely" in German. Like other chapter titles, it's a reference to a literary work - this time the poem "Vereinsamt", by Friedrich Nietzsche. I assume it's also referring to the sense of loss and grief felt by all the main characters of the update who see loved ones disappear, and is probably based on a German work as a small specific nod to Enigma's role in the story. -Another fun fact: if you put Argus as your suitcase home lobby screen character, one of her greeting remarks is her complaining about the disco music 😝 -If you look at the TV in 2.1's EP video, you can spot a reference to a certain lower-rarity character who makes a small appearance at the start of the patch story, had a skin released during the patch, and has a really unique design which is actually one of my favorites in the game. -Argu's EP has direct references to Breaking Bad (she's holding a Walter White lookalike), the Coen brothers film No Country for Old Men (the guy shooting the big gun looks like Anton Chigurh, the main antagonist of that movie), and Better Call Saul (the ad on the newspaper). -The reason Tuesday and Tooth Fairy have Christmas-themed EPs is because, while 1.2 and 2.1 are horror patches released for Halloween in China originally, global has a delayed release so they came out nearer to Christmas. So these songs were made for the global release, basically. -"Escolhas Perdidas" means "Lost Choices", and seems to be referring to Lopera reflecting on her past, her various painful experiences with betrayal and loss, and attempting to move on from that as best she can. It's also an actual example of Brazilian Portuguese, for a patch that caught some flak for not featuring it enough despite being set in Brazil - I'm not Brazilian, though, so I can't really comment on that. -Risa Mei, the voice actress for Kimberly/Anjo Nala, is indeed singing "Goodbye", as I understand. Pretty impressive range, honestly! -They mentioned this on the 2.2 reveal livestream, but the name of the chapter, "Tristes Tropiques" (translated as "melancholy tropic" in Goodbye) is based on the title of a memoir by French anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss, documenting his travels in various places (mostly Brazil, but also other places like the Caribbean and India). It apparently explores ideas and reflections on a bunch of subjects, such as sociology, geology, music, history and literature - appropriately enough for Reverse 1999 which does the same.
