Soundrop has a big problem with support, as it is non-existent. If you have a problem, good luck because it can take several months to receive a response. In my opinion Soundrop is on the brink of the abyss and anyone reading this should look for another distribution option. I have been with them for 4 years and I am migrating to another distributor.

I finally had to check into this shit after years of questioning in my head the difference between all of these.

It’s quite obvious what the business models of distrokid and ditto music are, pay out as little as possible. Collaborations should be easier to release. Your not going to only release collabs with the same person over and over again, you maybe as well start a band. So deciding on two primary artists is limiting. What if you release 3 collabs in a year each with different artists, no option apart from “the work around” which doesn’t change any meta data on Apple Music for previously released music. Why not just have an option to split the revenue of streams 2 ways between to collaborators so these companies wouldn’t have to pay out more than they should. It’s all about money.

Pls soundrop team I recently submitted my saxophone cover with soundrop and I created a cover of lonely at the top , using my saxophone I suppose using thesame melodies is a crediting the songs writers and original artist is what makes a cover song , I did not utter the arrangement of the melodies ,just add a little sax freestyle at the intro .. pls I need a reply as soon as possible

Thanks to Soundrop, I actually learned to recreate tracks when it came to covers. Before, I would download a karaoke track and just slap my recording in there. Until one of my covers were taken down due to sampling or using the original sounds. Now I don't do that anymore and learned to recreate my own sounds. For those that do covers, don't use other people's karaoke tracks unless you have received permission. I know it may be frustrating to recreate a track but it's worth learning as it gives you more capability to make your own sounds, making you more unique as an artist.

Hi. One of my tracks was released for Facebook/Instagram, but *not for iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, YT Music* . It says 'youtube delivery missing CID monetization track', and it was in the Error tab in the distribution. Yesterday I checked thinking it was solved by the Soundrop team. It wasn't. Seems like you released the song to FB/IG (since it's on the *Live* tab), but on the remaining stores the track is on the *Error tab* ! I tried to contact you several times, but you don't even bother to reply 🤦‍♂ Soundrop is great for releasing cover songs, but sometimes you're lazy AF for some things. 😔 I try not to get mad, but sometimes I can't. You know what it means whenever the release of a cover song is relayed??? Yep: *I'm losing MONEY* !
