Sure glad I ran into this. The block on top does the trick. I also cut mine using my table saw sled, worked great. Thanks

Thanks! 99% of my fried cooking is done in cast iron! I'm the only person here that likes fried chicken and corn bread. So I don't get to cook it very often. Now bacon and sausage, that gets cooked all the time!

Hope you and the wife have a great year too! My back has been acting up for over a year now. But things have gotten worse in the last few months. My nuerologist says I need surgery. I told him when I can no longer walk I'll do that. lol Since moving into God's country, things like surgery takes planning as we have to travel further and we have animals at home. ;)

@Ijustpiddle18 күн бұрын
Thanks! WD40 is my friend. I'll spray a little on my tools when they start binding up or rusting. After my last move, a lot of my tools that were packed got a little rusty so a little WD40 cleaned them right up!

Since your video has been up 3 months, I presume you've had the opportunity to test out this dust cyclone separator. Just curious how it has worked for you. I have the same system hooked up as my primary dust collection system, and it has been a total game changer. I feel sure you have probably discovered the same by now. Mine, however, is stationary with pipe or hose run to each machine (table saw, miter saw, belt/spindle sander, drill press, floor sweep). A couple of observations that will help it be even more efficient. First, use a bag in your shop vac. You can get them on Temu for cheap. The bag will do a couple of things. It will save your filter & keep it dust free. But more importantly, it will filter out any micro dust that does make it through the collector and prevent it from being exhausted back out into your shop. Second, get rid of the 5 gallon bucket & get a larger barrel. When the 5 gallon bucket gets only half to two thirds full, there is so much turbulence inside the bucket, that the collected dust is stirred up & that disturbed dust is sucked up into the secondary cyclone & fills up the clear collection canister. When the canister gets full, the dust goes on to the shop vac & clogs your filter or fills your bag. I got a 20 gallon plastic barrel with a quick release metal ring in place of the 5 gallon bucket & that was the game changer. A 55 gal would be even better, but i dont have that kind of room. There is much more room for dust to settle into the bottom of the barrel & not be disturbed by the turbulence inside the barrel. And since the dust now settles to the bottom of the barrel, barely any goes on thru the secondary cyclone, and extremely little to none now gets thru to the shop vac. Hope this helps.

It has worked great for me! I still need to attach it better to my cart though. I've been thinking about trying to set it up like yours where it sits in one area and I have a hose ran to all my tools but that will have to be later on. :) Thanks for watching!

Well, almost broke my fingers and ruined my saw, but with the blade 5 cm over the glass. If the glass get caught by the blade your hand is on that blade before you even get time to react.
@IjustpiddleАй бұрын
Are you saying you had the blade 5 cm, (2"), high? The blade should just be high enough to just cut the plexiglass.

Poor design with the slanted bottom. It allows water to run down the sides and enter directly on top of the timer housing. Water then gets into the housing and destroys the timer
@Ijustpiddle3 ай бұрын
I assembled this feeder 4 years ago. Only thing that has gone bad was the battery. I had to replace the black plastic funnel on the bottom of the feed bin because the squirrel's kept chewing on it until the feeder wouldn't hold corn. I also had to replace the metal piece that attached to the motor that throws the corn out. Other than that, the timer is the same unit that came with the feeder. I've never seen anything inside the timer box that would lead me to believe that water is getting in there.

What’s the maximum length this can cut. I have a board that’s 21” will this still work.
@Ijustpiddle3 ай бұрын
I don't see why not. I just used a small piece of plexiglass for the video. I guess it would be the same as cutting a large sheet of plywood but using a board on top to keep it held down to the table of the saw.

Just be careful having a shop change your oil and add fluids - they do not honor proprietary fluid requirements on vehicles requiring them. Your gaskets and seals will croak way too early and you're gonna have a new transmission bill to stick on the fridge...all by design
