You're a saint for posting these for free. Are these videos all of the lessons from Rise Up?

I've seen people try this and it's weird. Not sure it's even effective. But the idea is to make the thrower pay more attention to the mark by being unpredictable. And that makes sense. This should also help to

Yes, good thowers may be able to break your mark, but if you force them to throw it at a bad timing, even if it is a break throw, you might force a turnover eventually and that is a win for the defense

Flash a hand at start of mark Knees bent, head back to be ready to cover next throw (bh breaks) Goal isn't ever to block a hammer but to make it float higher so other teammates can get to it and defend it

Personally this kind of marking defense is just an optional adjustment. You may want to try it tho to some specific throwers who love and you know that they just cant stop throwing hanmer haha

Interesting and never heard this before. Not sure I'm totally cool with a flat mark against a ho stack, even though it kinda makes sense. Just seems like there will be a lot of breakside movement anyways...

I think its a team decision if you'll try to implement this. Usually you do this flat mark or force middle in some cases to teams that are dangerous to huck plays. Basically you want the throw to be difficult in a way (IO or curvy long throw) if they still want to do hucks and hope that you may force a turnover or hope your teamate to make a play on the disc.
