Ever considered using a slitting saw in a mill to slice those tubes? It works great. Less sanding/no sawing. Regardless, your parts are top notch. I've seen them in person.

Thanks for the tip. The video was made using the most basic equipment. We use a couple different methods - but the slitting saw is new. I will check it out.

Any advantage creating a step as the exhaust flow transitions from 2:1, ie, just slip the 3" pipe over the collector? Thank you for posting Vince & company!'

I think fernando has about 10 years left before these are cost-effectively 3D printed!

A CNC could knock them out alot faster.
@videovincer26 күн бұрын
Agreed but at this time you cannot make a collector this light with a CNC - even this one at 16g. Not possible especially when you you get down to 0.023” and even below. Of course then you need an amazing welder!

great video! is there a rough 'rule of thumb' that can be applied to find the merge collector outlet size? based on the primary size and exhaust size. For example 1.75" primaries on a straight 6 street car into a 2.5" exhaust = merge outlet somewhere around a 2-2.25" (6-1 collector)

The long system puts the sound behind and is very reasonable. But this is all subjective.

It's a killer build.. he never showed it completed on his channel.. 124 s&s baker 6 speed gearset in the factory 5 speed case.. it's a 01 bagger drive train.. it's got the old school look with the modern power and speed and technology..

Sounds like a crossplane crank, but high reving engines are typically flatplane. Interesting!
It was a distinct pleasure to interview Dave Perewitz!

CVO style system , will it work on a 131 with a performance cam? Or is the exhaust system made for higher compression engines? My compression ratio is 10:1

It will be good for your bike. Performance of the mid-length is better.
