I have the same issue on my Celica. Idles at 1.5k even when warmed up. Ordered a new IACV and going to replace it, but same as you, my scan tool is showing the throttle at 12% when idling. Is it easy to replace the spring? Did you replace yours? Did you film it? Thanks. Also, check engine light for both o2 sensors but they've both been replaced...

I heard lot of people complaining for rectifier stator and charging issues with c90, that’s I don’t dare to buy it, I have c50, just same shape ,same size, 570 lbs dry weight, 800 cc it beats passes in seconds any other bike on road whether sports whether Harley what ever, I changed its engine oil and gear oil multiple times I use only full synthetic oil, now it’s pickup is more than a sports bike, in seconds it touches almost 100 mph, maintainance free, best fuel consumption, best road grip and road presence and by no means due to its large bulky size it doesn’t look like 800 cc it looks far bigger than that, what else do I need, it’s almost a year I have it’s 2007, great reliable trouble free machine

I just got a 02 stone metal and you are absolutely correct, the bike has a pace to it lol. use the heal / toe lever correctly, go ahead, drop your heal down on it lol, it's like riding a sporty tank and it's got tons of character, and torque

I disagree, they are a cruiser. Cruisers are for what you mentioned at the end, it's for around town and on backroad 2 lane highways where the speed limit is 55-60. It's a 500 CC bike, they aren;t sup[posed to go anything faster than that and anything faster than that isn't "Cruising" anyway.

Hopefully my comment will help someone. I wasted time and money, and replaced the Starter Motor and the Starter Relay fuse for nothing. On my car, I figured out that it was the Neutral Safety Switch. You can check by putting the e-brake on, turning on the car, push down the brake pedal, then put the car into Neutral, and start the car. If the car starts, then you have a faulty Neutral Safety Switch. It cost 20 dollars on eBay. You can also check the EFI Relay fuse. You can take the fuse from FAN1, and plug it into the EFI location. The entire starter circuit is: 40A Main fuse, 7.5A AM2 fuse, Ignition Switch, Neutral Safety Switch, ST(Starter) Relay fuse, and finally the Starter Motor.

Bought a 2007 C90T for my son recently. Paid $1900. It needed some TLC and still needs some more. However, we towed it to Flagstaff from Denver last week and rode 600 miles over 3 days. It was our first motorcycle trip. The Boulevard was a joy to ride (we switched bikes on and off). Very comfortable and not one hiccup. Did fine everywhere we went. Interstates at 75mph, mountains full of switch backs, canyons and city streets. No, it's not a Harley, but did just fine for us.

I hope to be able to bring more content to you guys, however money is tight right now, so I'm not in a position to be able to focus entirely on creating content as of late. I have three reviews already filmed, one of which I'm almost done editing. I hope to be able to upload it soon.

So if you turn car on and it has high idle, then drops its a bad valve? Or only if it stays up there or at 1.5, mines revs high at start then drops below to .9 after couple mins
@autos_in_review
@autos_in_review 8 ай бұрын
A high idle from a cold start is normal. If the engine is at operating temperature and the idle is still at 1500 rpms, or you notice a constant idle surge then yes, there is an issue.

Alright, I've gone and found 2 sources that say it's wet, and 3 that say it's dry, so it looks like the source I used for the video, (The one in the previous comment) has incorrect information, as it appears it should be dry. I will pin your comment so that people can see the proper info, and I'll post a more reliable source. That is a mistake on my part. www.roadrunner.travel/motorcycles/moto-guzzi-california-jackal-triumph-bonneville/

I owned the exact same year and model of Jackal. I agree that the stock seat on the bike isn't very good and caused some discomfort after an hour of riding. My simple solution to the issue was to ride the bike with my feet on the passenger pegs sort of rear set style, which took my weight off of my tailbone and put my torso weight on top of my butt. Obviously you can't access the foot controls as easily riding the bike in this manner but it made a huge difference in how long I could tolerate riding the bike. I would have no issue riding the bike for 2 or more hours with my feet on the passenger pegs. Another couple of things I would like to add. These V11 bikes can't be ridden like typical cruisers. You really can't lug the engine around at 2000RPM or less like a long stroke cruiser engine. The sweet spot for these V11 twins is 3000RPM and up. Once you get your head around the fact the V11 needs some revs for optimum functionality they really are sublime motorcycles to ride. Valve adjustments on these bikes is an absolute pleasure to perform and downright peaceful if you don't mind getting your hands dirty. I use Mobil 1 automotive oil filters on my Guzzi's and Motul 10W60 engine oil and that quiet's down the top end valve train chatter quite a bit. When people ask why I like to ride Guzzi's I always say that "Guzzi's don't do any one thing really great, but they do everything really well". The Jackal model in particular is a Jack of all trades sort of bike. It's the sort of bike that would perform reasonably well at Tail of the Dragon and then you could load it up and it would haul you and your gear across the country. All the while giving you adequate tank range and comfort and above average reliability. Good, solid bikes overall.
