1 - Remove the filler cap before draining oil. 2 - remove the drain plug from pan before removing the filter because it is the lowest point where the oil sits. 3 - you never explained what a crush washer was for those who don’t know.

Is there a way to test fuel pressure on this exact truck and engine? I have the same truck and engine, my problem is that when I drive it, it runs good and other half of the drive it sputters and loses power then comes back full power. I’ve changed the wires, plugs, coil, injectors, fuel filter, intake manifold gaskets, and looked for any leaks in vacuum and still runs the same. Please! If you can any advice would be great!

Best to use brass fittings, not plastic. Also, Teflon tape is not gasolene resistant. Tighten the clamps by hand, not with a power drill. Gives you a better feel so you don't overtighten clamps and cut thru the hose.

Option group 3 included all these …..more rare options were split rear seat, Bose Premium sound system, and factory rear window louvers….very rare. If you have a real 1LE car you have no AC or radio. Added was aluminum drive shaft, corvette brakes…fuel tank baffle and dual catalytic converters….I will die and be buried in my car😂😂😂😂😂

Its the 3/4 ton trucks/vans and marine blocks that have it. They also have ALL the timing cover bolt holes, so you can put an old style cover on and use all the bolts.

Thanks! Just did the job on a 2003. Instructions spot on and made this doable. No way I was going to drop tank and drive shaft. Done in 3 hours including the trip to the parts store to get the pump.

I paid to much for a low mileage 83 sport coupe. Washer pump went immediately, rear defog and guage lights did as well as a power window switch. But damn if it doesnt run smooth, handle decent and despite low hp the 240 pounds of torque gives instant pull.
