Rotorguru9702 . Thank you brother. I believe 90% of hyperactivity is diet related and 100% sugar/carbohydrate overload... much like our diet since the fifties.. anyway, if you think like a kid and act like a kid then you're 66.6% kid. Being that much kid, intrinsically, makes you optimistic. So I don't harbor your degree of skepticism when it comes to youth. Our job is to fill their empty heads with a methodology of teaching themselves and how to go about creating a need for information to solve problems of their own making. Tanks for your support..

please post a vid of this working next, id love to see this in action. Not sure if you mentioned this in the video but you could use Arduino and some relays to accurately control and change the timing of the fuel, it could operate the injectors on a certain time sequence and then doesn't rely on needing anyone pressing buttons. Do these work on vacuum from the hot combustion gases ?
@parsonsenergyАй бұрын
mnshp7548 That was, is and will be the result of this year long effort. Getting the shop ready (what Elon calls stage zero, infrastructure) to even do this rudimentary research has been an arduous task. Just getting a H2 REG and H2 has been demanding on a SS budget as well. Regarding the use of Arduino's has always been the goal, however, not having any experience with micro controllers and programming has been an impediment to some degree. As I have said before, some of these mundane videos are for the edification of a few of my younger subscribers. My goal has been to show these kids how to massage their inventive needs needs around the use of junkyard parts and cheap off the shelf parts. Please be patient, I cherish people like you for taking the time to comment and give me feedback. Tanks

@parsonsenergyАй бұрын
Paul... The purpose of these videos is to elucidate a creative process. In this case (a water well pump powered by hydrogen) I had postulated that I wanted to make a photovoltaic powered water pump that has no moving parts. This video's relevance to the overall project was to create a learning experience on how a detonation can be created and managed. I thought starting with acetylene and air would be a viable 1st step in that direction. In the ensuing videos we will see how a 'proof of concept' is approached and ultimately brought into existence. As far as being stupid ? Far from it! You were attracted to this video because of the word 'detonation' ... which makes you smart! Give me enough time to prove the 'processes' efficacy and the development of something that has never existed both conceptually and physically...

Why are you not just using a cutting tool on the lathe to clean the tank up?
@parsonsenergy2 ай бұрын
For that big bottle we had already cut off the bottom which weakened it and when tightening it up in the chuck it was so deformed the runout was unacceptable… since this was our first use of the clausing for doing these Bells.. the next bottle will be ‘chucked up’ complete (with the bottom intact.. after polishing we’ll then cut the bottle to the lengths we want.. which is another process … ‘Tuning’

@@MannyVanOss Thank you Manny for your comments. We have gradually been bringing our Clausing lathe back to life after it sat in the elements for 25 years in our desert.. This bottle was started after the end was cut off making it weak and unable to true it up... When we get another bottle we will chuck it up with its' ass end intact. I'll do another vid when we get time. As far as a clapper I am pretty sure it will be an Oak branch about 6' long and 12" to 18" in diameter. A really dead weight that produces a low pitch when struck from about a 75* angle.

It's a statement that reflects the state of dysphoria that's occurring across our country and a poor attempt at levity. Even though I was referencing one aspect of what the word 'dysphoria means I was also referencing its' general meaning: Dysphoria State of feeling unwell or unhappy; a feeling of emotional and mental discomfort as a symptom of discontentment, restlessness, dissatisfaction, malaise, depression, anxiety or indifference dysphoric is a word which, I believe, is a good descriptor of where our society is at this moment. "excetylene"?
@parsonsenergy5 ай бұрын
It's spelled acetylene. Acetylene (systematic name: ethyne) is the chemical compound with the formula C 2H 2 and structure H−C≡C−H. It is a hydrocarbon and the simplest alkyne. This colorless gas is widely used as a fuel and a chemical building block. It is unstable in its pure form and thus is usually handled as a solution. I use this for its' ability to detonate.
@rdbchase5 ай бұрын
@@parsonsenergy You say "excetylene" -- there's no "k" sound in "acetylene".

@@rdbchase Yeah Chase, you got me there,however, asking for ethyne at the supply shop doesn't get me my refill. Saying Accetylene works every thyme. Years ago i built a travelling wave pulsed detonation rocket motor. It had the internal baffles designed so the shockwave was collimated into an exhasust stream of hypersonic speed a few feet from the nozzle but was cool nonetheless. It sounded like a very angry bee and a machine gun had a very ugly baby. Acetylene was too prone to detonation in the wrong places but a mix of oxygen, nitrious oxide, Methyl propylene, and ethyl ether worked well. You want it to create a bunch of smaller shocks to confine and compress the fuel mix in the center a few cm from the nozzle exit. You want a highly explosive but lower power mix on the edhe but a less explosive but far more powerful mix in the middle. Slightly curved bits of metal on the housing gave it the needed spin. Needless to say it didnt live very long being made of literal scrap metal. 😂
@parsonsenergy5 ай бұрын
Tanks Chris… utilizing the TWD approach to PD (pulsed detonation) is an avenue to pursue, however, this pump application is more of a paradigm shift in what the concept of PD technology conventionally has been thought of.
