I had to do exactly what you did and it didn’t last and it’s hard to open and close the mesh. I think if the rings were larger it might help, but the unfortunate bow in the middle also prevents the rings from moving. If you found another solution, I’d like to hear about it. Thank you. That’s one frustrating project.

I realise it’s been a while and you’ve probably removed all your wallpaper now so I’m sorry if this comment frustrates you but maybe it can help some poor soul who is also going through this awful process. I can’t completely remove the workload for you, but I can make it a little bit less painful: the best way to remove the wallpaper is hot water(the hottest water your tap will provide) sprayed directly onto your walls. I use a big garden sprayer (the pump kind) that comes with a strap to sling it over your shoulder. The reason the steamer works is because it applies hot water which is absorbed by the old wallpaper, and ultimately reactivates the wallpaper paste, which is water-based. That is the ultimate goal and a steamer will get you there albeit, very, very slowly. However, you can speed that entire process up by just taking hot water and drenching your walls with it. Wait a minute for it to be absorbed into the paper before scraping it. If the paper is still too stubborn, then spray more water until it’s not. Rinse and repeat about a thousand more times. You’ve got this! 👍🏻

Hi, would these work on a wonkey wall? our wall has lumps and bumps
@thesandidges8672
@thesandidges8672 Жыл бұрын
Hmm...probably depends how big the lumps and bumps are. The tracks are supposed to lay flat against the wall. As long as you can get them tight enough, it should be OK. The shelves end up being off the wall by a couple of inches, so that's not an issue. That would actually hide any weird spots I would think. Maybe try one track first?

Thank you for this video - it saved me from a nervous breakdown! I received this product for my birthday, but I didn’t love it so I was trying to repack it to return and omg I was ready to throw the entire box across the room…. Watching you inbox it showed me how to repackage it, so thanks!

Great bookcase. I'm thinking of something similar for our house. Did you guys look into the elfa shelving system which doesn't require the verticle rails screwed onto the wall studs? Also with weight from all the books, which now are on the studs, is there any concern that the house studs are strong enough to hold the bookshelf?
@thesandidges8672
@thesandidges8672 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I looked into all the options but this was the cheapest for the look I wanted. As far as the weight, I had the same question! But my husband did all the calculations and we haven’t had any problems.

You need to fix the exposed drywall first where the outer area was taken off by the wallpaper before you use the joint compound to adhere to. Especially if you see any bubbling. If you used a steamer to get the wallpaper off, water can get trapped inside and eventually make your wood rot. I know this was over a year ago though but something to think about in the future. If you do find wood rot in the years to come, you might look to this project as the culprit. Take care.

Ah camping! The joy of being homeless for a week! Day 1 cozy fresh tent clothes and belongings neatly organized just like home. Day 5 Cheetos and chocolate milk all over the floor dirty underwear piled in every corner sleeping bag coated with dirt and leaves. Ha ha just joking no offense meant to you and family. I just bought the same tent and off to a week of camping with my son in a couple weeks.

Ha! No offense taken! That’s pretty darn accurate! :) Hope you have a blast. We love our tent! Just a tip, buy a bunch of carabiners if you don’t have any or many. There are lots of little loops around the top of the tent to hang things on. Saves on floor space! Have fun!

Will he fail so bad. Tell the kids I on a meeting and they say ok. Looks like wife didn't help watch the kids. It looks like boss is so embarrassed at he just gave up. What I do is book a cheap hotel if this keeps on happening for the meeting, I know about covid deal but you have to find other plans or have backups so you can have quit meeting.
