For Scandanavain Campaign, I recommend Samus and Mega Man for the shooty section (they both have 4 HP as opposed to Proto Man's 3). For the runny section, definitely recommend Sonic.

@@ChachiiHaitsyewToo He gets the same Robot Master Weapons (as does Roll). The differences between the 2 Mans: + Mega Man has +1 HP + Mega Man has less knockback - Mega Man's Charged Shots are not as strong as Proto Man's - Mega Man doesn't have a Shield * Mega Man can get the Rush Adapter and Proto Man can get the Break Man Suit, both of which do different things

I have only one tip and it's too late. Play any version of this game except the original. Behinds having so many issues with table look ups (the critical hits in particular are wrong), it's got the absolute worst user interface.

tidbit of basic combat mechanics: 1st/top character position: gets targeted the most (50% of the time) 2nd/2nd-from-top character position: gets targeted the 2nd most (25% of the time) 3rd/2nd-from-bottom character position: gets targeted the least (12.5% of the time) 4th/bottom character position: gets targeted the least (12.5% of the time) for a basic party: 1. fighter // gets targeted the most here 2. fighter/thief/black-belt/red-mage // gets targeted the 2nd most here 3. white-mage/black-mage // gets targeted the least here 4. black-mage/white-mage // gets targeted the least here

You might like playing as Arthur, he has double jumps, is faster than simon, all of his weapons are ranged and some of them are capable of killing armored enemies like boos and thwomps. His only downside is that he can only take 2 hits Additionally, if youre playing world 2, you should play as one one of the 5 characters who has access to a proper commando suit powerup; Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi and Roll. Wario is perhaps the best character for world 2, as his commando suit is one of the most powerful in the game. You should also take some time to enter the shop with each character and read the descriptions for all the unique powerups

Sounds good, I'lll check both Arthur and Wario out next time. I initially was going to try Waluigi in the beginning, as he's one of my go-to for spin-off games and such, but wanted to do it somewhat traditioinally. I do like figuring things out on my own, but I definitely appreciate the tips and will use them to the best of my abilities.

If you ever play mkf again, here is some advice: - if you want to skip a level, go into the options, enable debug mode and use the page up key on the map screen. This will auto clear any level you stand on. - To pass the black keyhole door in world 1, you have to beat at least one worldboss on the final level of world 2, world 3, world 4, or world 7. The pipes leading to Worlds 5, 6, 8, 9 are after the black keyhole. I reccomend not doing world 2 first, it's very long. I instead recommend doing world 4 first, it's got great levels, fair difficulty, great variety and isnt overly long like worlds 2 and 3. - there are no secrets in levels that affect other levels, whatever the level is connected to in the map is what it unlocks (with the exception of switch palaces, which unlock the card suite barriers that are scattered on every world, but those arent regular levels)

Ahhh, I've been trying to find informationi for what to do to continue world 1, so I definitely appreciate that! I haven't had much luck finding out a ton of info on it, but I should be playing it again soon.

One example of a protip i have is this: Most levels have a ?block with a powerup in it near the beginning and at checkpoints, but as you know, if you are small mario, hitting a powerup block will get you a mushroom, but if you are already big mario, hitting a powerup block will get you a fire flower or better. So what you do is enter the level, grab the mushroom, exit level, enter level, grab the fire flower, exit level, enter level, grab a second fire flower for the reserve slot, then you play the rest of the level.

Hey, MKF Developer here. That Desert area in the Mushroom Kingdom is still part of World 1 actually. The entire Mushroom Kingdom IS World 1. All of Alternate Earth (more then just North America) is World 2. Just wanted to be clear about that.

Ahhh, so there are sub-sections in the game (like the first part of the Mushroom Kingdom and then the Desert World)? But that does explain the difficulty spike I had. It's a very interesting game so far, and I am enjoying it (even if at times it sounds like I'm not). Looking back, I'm thinking the hitbox issue might be me super used to SMW, honestly, but most are good. Or maybe some mechanics I'm too used to SMW which is also on me.

@@ChachiiHaitsyewToo MKF is 9 Worlds with +200 Levels. MKF is emulated off of hitboxes and controls moreso to SMB3 then SMW.
