Hey Maya, it's been such a long time. I had just woken up with a fever but got so excited when I realised you've uploaded a video. I came here to watch it the first thing in the morning :D Unfortunately I have been going through rough days, especially after not getting admission into my dream university, but it's ok I've got this (; Your videos are so warm and welcoming that they make me feel so much better. Coincidentally I've been reading a lot too. I'm really hooked on Khaled Hosseini after reading The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns but I'm also looking forward to read 'So Far So Good' by Ursula K. LeGuin, now that you've recommended it too (: I hope you're doing better since after your surgery, sending you lots of love and support <3

I started making an attempt to memorize the books that you mentioned and then I saw that you had a list of everything that you mentioned, and I thought to myself, "Thank GOODNESS you have a list together!" I am so glad to see that you are back and talking about everything that you read in 2023 thus far and it is incredible that the year is almost halfway through. Sea Change is interesting in how it covers marine biology on a narrative landscape. I am inclined to look into that story a bit more myself. I read Firestarter back in 2019 and both reviewed and discussed that book for our channel in separate videos. Like you, I thought it was okay. I like the description of the characters, like your dad, but it was the strength and the believability of the characters that made me not as thrilled about this book as I was with some of his others. I read Murder on the Orient Express in 2018 and I felt it was one of Agatha Christie's strongest books. Perhaps it was the strongest of hers that I have read thus far. I have yet to read The Institute and have really not read much of King's newer books. I am really intrigued about The Maid and being neurodivergent myself, I am curious to see what kind of approach I take during my reading experience. Mary Oliver's poetry is fantastic and I really want to read more. Wild Geese is one of my absolute favorites. You feel such a sense of ecstasy as you read her poetry. I just finished reading an ARC of Holding Pattern and Secret Lives of Great Artists, both of which I will be reviewing, and will be reading The Innocence of Father Brown, a review copy of Sea Above, Sun Below, and Red Queen for the Roundtable Read on our channel. Thank you for sharing and I hope you have an amazing summer! :D -Josh

Nope i don't care about reading i do rather watch a tv show or play video games or music. So many things are more enjoyable than reading to me. But still the 2 stoicism books i read were good experiences

What’s funny is, it’s seems that the people who are closed off from their emotions are way less logical than those who are. Living is all about balance. Logic isn’t superior to emotions, and the inverse can be said. Great vid.

thank you so much for going in detail about what you had to write and everything included in the process! my dream is to be in the film industry (whether that be screenwriting, directing or post-production) when I’m older, and film school seems like a good way for to get into it (considering i have 0 connections lol). as an average british teenager i didn’t have a clue about what the application process included, so I really appreciate it. by the way i watched your application film and thought it was amazing, I hope you have a great time at chapman :D
