Maybe she doesn't like you petting her on the back. Parrots generally hate to be touched anywhere in their body except their head.

i rescued a parrot.. she had burned wings and broken feet .. she is scared of ppl.. i thought she will recover after some time.. but she is still scared of me.. she tries to fly.. without wings.. i dont want to keep her caged.. i leave her cage door open and she sits behind cage hidden.. she tried to hide under bed and tables . but i was determined to not let her hide this way.. so i tried to go near till we agreed that i wont scare her if she remained on her cage.. i also tried to accommodate her n gv her doll house and a carriage but she was just happy sitting on cage.. so i hv placed seeds inside cage so when she goes in.. i close the cage and bathe her once a week..sometimes twice.. she absolutely loves bathing n she isnt scared when i bathe her.. but she rarely visits her cage .. if she goes n sees me coming she comes outside immediately 😂.. she thinks ill cage her .. i guess.. i keep fruits vegetables near her cage outside on table.. she comes and eat.. she only ate apple, cucumbers very little, she ignored almonds, walnuts , pumpkin seeds, carrots.. majorly she only eats sunflower seeds.. i tried showing her parrot videos so she doesn't go in depression .. she tried to touch screen n touch parrots 😢😢she is lonely but doesn't want humans.. she ones tried to jump from balcony and got stuck in net..then she cut the net n came back.. i was there but didnt dare to go near as she is scared n i was worried she will hurt herself more😢 please advise

If the macaw is biting you offen it indicates that he/she feels she is not getting herd, understood well. When body language and verbal doesn't work, they talk with their beak. It's really just communication, even when they get angry with their owners, they would still not show its full strength, they know they can crack bones...

DO NOT RUB YOUR PARROT ON ITS BACK!!! This is a sexual zone, it will cause your bird to become sexually frustrated because it can not mate with you. If you're going to own a parrot please please do your research. They're complex and smart animals they don't deserve this.
